We didn't lose part of our identity though.......

Yes you did. The Rabbitohs name was based on men who sold skinned rabbits for a living by calling out "rabbit-oh!". They had a job, albeit an unusual one.

No more skinned rabbit sellers around Redfern just a long congo line of Souffs fans queuing up at the local Centrelink calling out "meth-o!"

You ought to be ashamed of the lack of fight......

To all you objectors,"with little man syndrome",you do realise that South Sydney were awarded the highest recognition by the Australian National Trust as Community Icons and forever will remain in history as what's proudly Australian.
Hence you poor little Rorters continue to search for your own sad identity, you even dumped the Eastern Suburbs out of your history to the Sydney Rorters.
So keep your hands on your little man syndrome and rejoice what is iconically Australian, the "MIGHTY RABBITOHS"!

Yep. We have a lot of rough areas with high unemployment and drug use in our demographic. I find it hilarious getting called out on it though from a Knights fan. Ever been to Cessnock? Lol.

Mate, I’d have happily sat out 5 years to avoid merging. Hate to break it to you, but as a Balmain or Wests supporter, your team IS out of the comp!
Says you. Accept it, nobody else worships souffs the way a handful of souffs fans seem to believe. Your views on my club really are irrelevant as far as I'm concerned.

I can never understand the constant negativity some fans like to throw at opposing teams. We all select to follow particular clubs for different reasons, we all have different backgrounds but we have one thing in common, our love for the game. I always appreciate constructive criticism but not personal insults. If you wish to join the conversation, do so but provide some constructive dialogue.

Looks like I have hit a nerve.

It's not my fault souths has been an embarrassment in the modern era and will continue to be so.

I’m thankful that our clubs name isn’t synonymous with the words cheats and dodgy. How does it feel to be known as the Rorters by all other clubs and supporters.
Winning a title must feel so hollow because no one in the NRL community places any value on your clubs honesty and sportsmanlike conduct, as fairness, courtesy and being a good sport. I’d prefer our club to do it the honest way because at least after we win, we can stand tall and proud of our true honest achievements and hard work. That’s why our win in 2014 is one of the most memorable in the history of Rugby League and was worth more and will be remembered more than your previous 13 titles.
In Australia people support the bloke who works hard to get to the top not the bloke who buys his way to the top. It’s always been the Australian way but your owner wouldn’t understand that would he.

1/10 effort

I couldn't care less what other people think as long as our success continues, which it will.

The fact you think 2014 matters more than 2013 or any other premiership by any other team speaks volumes of your little man syndrome.

2005 was better. A team of rejects, rookies and journeymen combined to take down competition heavyweights in the semis and win it all.

2014 was just another example of chequebook rugby league striking the jackpot.
