Beu Scott's body has had a lot less work so doesn't fuss me as much. Keep in ming watmough has played a lot of final games too which are tougher.

I doubt it. Average wage right now is about $260k. Three years ago it was $176k. Therefore it's fair to assume the average in three years will be somewhere between $300k and $400k. That makes $600k a lot less impressive, and besides, we don't even know how Watmough's contract is structured for 2018. At an age where most players are lucky to even get a top 25 contract I'm sure the club has protected itself. Watmough would have been lured here by a signing bonus - i.e. a contract front loaded with Hayne's desertion money.

If every player in the top 25 is on minimum wage the salary cap would need to be 15 million (if my math is correct) Now obviously there will be a lot of players above minimum wage so that salary cap would need to be higher. What do you reckon the salary cap will be in 3 years?

Huh? If the average wage in a few years is between 300-400k how can minimum wage be 600k?
