Hook is a fool taking credit for way to much.
Especially when much of its so easily proven wrong.

The shit about our juniors. That was the first thing Gus did when he arrived. And how much involvement does the NRL coach even have with our juniors? The coaches... specifically Brennan and Ciraldo were the ones putting in the hard work with these guys.

Good point.

True. I am think that Gus tonight will go through what Griffin said, give facts and figures about the juniors and the like.

I think he'll cop the company line about being happy to wait for Ivan 2021.

It's the W/T who are on shaky ground as their coach will basicilly be deciding their rosters for 19, 20 and won't be there to fulfill it at all.

W/T will lose patience just like their fans so and sack cleary. Ivan will get a payout and we pay no compensation.

All it takes is patience.

Yep exactly.

And hook does get credit for picking the kids he did and preparing them when he got them, if he had of just been a bit more honest in that regard I think that would’ve been that.

I really don’t think Gould will let it go now though, hook bagged a lot of peoples hard work with those comments.

having already taken the club to the next level
Making the finals in three consecutive years is the next level. In fact it's the level after the next one.

Ivan made the finals once in four years.

So many here crave mediocrity.

It will make for interesting viewing tonight. Will Gus bite back or maintain a similar line from the podcast?

I will be watching The Footy Show for the first time since around 2005 to find out.

Yeah I haven’t watched all year. I think he’ll conduct himself well like hook but look to get his point across.

Just like the movie "Contact",when a white house rep stole that astronomer's glory during a White House briefing.

That’s not s fair comparison at all, the club was in a much worse position when Ivan took over.

Ivan made a prelim how many times did hook do that? How many times was hook named coach of the year? How many nrl GFs has he coached in?

And it doesnt count as “making the finals” if you get fired before the finals you muppet.

Gus could sell ice to eskimos. He will do well. Everyone will nod their heads in agreement and Griffin will slink back off to qld cup, sit on his queenslander verandah and try and find the words to match our Gus.

That'll make gus angry. He's not just taken a shot at Gus but at a lot of good staff at the club.

Next level as in improving from last year. It looked like another 6th/7th spot finish like 2016 and 2017 and into another elimination final.

I interpreted next level as being top 4 and a genuine premiership threat, which is not how we were being seen.

But I accept that others may have interpreted it differently.

That's what I said in the off-season.

The whole Juniors argument is laughable. Hook must be borderline geniused to claim our junior systems were a mess before he arrived. The evidence is common knowledge. The fact that the clowns on 360 didnt refute it or at least question it shows what an agenda driven piece of shit that show is.

One thing I will say about the development of the younguns between Cleary & Hook is that the kids that debuted under Hook all looked ready and hit the mark straight away. Under Cleary they seemed to take more time to find their feet. Yeo would be the exception, that man was ready for NRL before he was even conceived. Hardly screams that our systems were a mess though.
