Sounds great - only ask as I have been taking lessons for 2 years now (feeble attempt at a post mid life crisis). Started on an Ibanez bass and now into my Strat. My homework last week was Hells Bells.

My music room is upstairs and faces the street and the neighbours all know when I am practicing. Got to be loud and out there for all to hear.

Anthony Griffin couldn't do 'Chopsticks" the tune made famous in the Tom Hanks movie 'Big' which even the most musically challenged of us would be capable of having a crack at.

Granted this tune is best played on a piano and not a guitar.

Old really is a relative term though. As long as you're fit and firing, no need to worry about age.

Chalk me down as one of the "old" brigade. 35 here. Plenty of salt amongst the pepper but that's been happening since my early 20s so not much to be done there.

I could tell Old Panther was late 20s/early30s when he posted a selfie of himself in a Panthers jersey at some point.

I am 35. Seems pretty consistent with the age of most of the demographic on here.

Grew up in South Penrith, family moved to Wallacia when I was young and I stayed there until I finished high school.

Now live close to the Sydney CBD (work in the city) but still head out to Wallacia to see the parents as often as I can (usually coinciding with Panthers’ home games). Would love to live out there rather than the city if I could.
