Fair enough.

However those who have been on this forum for a long time would know I don't just post gossip here for the sake of it.

Unless you heard it from the mouths of Gould, Bryan Fletcher or Greg Alexander, I can only hope you applied a critical mind to it assess whether or not it appeared to have a rational basis.

I have no access to any insiders, so can deal only in the facts available to the rest of us (which I have set out in detail above). I’d love your views on those facts.

PS on an unrelated topic it would be great if you could be more active in your capacity as moderator - there has been a lot of name calling and stupidity on here lately (nothing to do with this Griffin issue).

To me it's a bit like folks who almost seem to delight (for whatever reason) is pilloring individual players who play in the team.

I really can't see the point. For whatever reason Jimmy Maloney appears to be non flavour of the month at the moment.

The team won today, it was not pretty until the last 15 mins or so. But they won, gained the 2 points, it's on the ladder.

Move on to next week.

We only looked good today when we just threw the game plan out and the players just did their own thing. Hook didn't coach that win.

Genuinely interested to know why you thought the game plan was any different? There was no distinct change in shape or positional play, we just got early ball to Kikau & Blake... that’s exactly what we were trying to do the previous 60 as far as I could see.

Our intensity & execution dramatically improved as we got a bit of confidence & the Eagles lost theirs.

Im not a Hook fan. But he's not the only guy involved in our coaching structure. If we just promote Ciraldo I dont think much (if anything) improves.

I don't know how a team improves when their starting spine misses 45 weeks out of a season.

The lack of FG experience is Gus' doing too. So not just a new coach fixes all

Old school manger? Control freak and hierarchical? Well, he has had three years and delivered reasonable results but we do have some limitations in our game. To me, it has always been difficult to get a proper handle on how we can go because there has been a revolving door of halves. How good could we be if the spine was consistent for a season?

If Gus is frustrated, he must be seeing more in the day to day coaching that is a cause for concern, the results have been quite reasonable all things considered. It is good that Gus expects more, even when we have made the semi's three years in a row.

Yet if we expect more we're terrible people who hate the club.

Anyone who thinks the coach isn’t under pressure is a moron IMO. We just backed up a woeful performance with another woeful performance. We have origin halves and a gun forward pack that look like they weren’t even trying for most of yesterday’s game. Hook has to go, this mindless backing of the club by our fans is so pathetic.

Whatever the reason, he didn’t play “great” as you said.

In the first half attackingthe line he had a huge hole he either had to kick or run through, instead he hestites, runs and forces a shit pass and turnover. Next attacking set he puts in a shit grubber on 3rd tackle which is easily cleaned up. He isn’t the Star we want him to be, he will probably never be a cooper Cronk type player, more Mitchell Pearce now that’s my opinion of him. Absolutely no vision.
