I would also add, that IF we somehow manage to win the comp this year, do the people predicting that Hook won't be here next year stand by their word?

He’s obviously not going to be fired if we win or even make the grand final.

My prediction is based on my belief we won’t compete with the big clubs in the finals. I sincerely hope I’m wrong though.

For all of those willing to wield the coaching axe. Who comes in for Griffin?

Looking at the coaching landscape there isn’t much out there. Plenty of unproven coaches out there but who steps up to the plate?

Two names come to mind. Geoff Toovey for someone with experience or Jason Demetriou for a new guy.

No way would I go with Ciraldo or Barrett.

People keep saying this and it keeps getting answered. Ciraldo will be coach IF Griffin goes.

He's in the system, knows the players well and will be cheap as a rookie coach after paying out Griffin.

Would be a huge mistake, and likely just a puppet for Gus. He’s way too young to command the respect needed to be a FG coach.

Only two players left. Matt Moylan, and Bryce Cartwright. Others have re-signed.
Wtf? From our 2017 squad:

Matt Moylan
Te Maire Martin
Leilani Latu
Bryce Cartwright
Mitch Rein
Sitaleki Akauolo
Peta Hiku

They were all in our 2017 roster and not our 2018 roster. All had 2018 (or beyond) contracts outside of Akauolo.

For crazy large sum. Basically Peach's golden handshake. An offer too good to refuse. If Panthers offerred him the same money, guess where he'd chose to stay.

His other issue is there isn't a starting spot here for him. If he stayed he'd be bench utility at best. That's not an indication of his skill either.

Yeah it's not an indication of qhether I think he'd do well (though I disagree with your age comment) just that he seems to be the guy being groomed for the job.

Tyrone only left to cement a starting spot, and who is cream?

A pic from training of Peaches and Cream.

Daz regularly knows early when there’s going to be a debut in first grade.

Look, you don’t need to believe me, but I can assure you he has sources.
Which ties in with what I said about him being a good source for the isp/junior grades (debut players)

Then why would you replace Griffin with him?

I really think you need a bit of age to gain respect of the players, it’s very unusual in the world of professional sports to have a coach who is younger than some of the players in the comp. Ciraldo is only 33.

I forgot about the others. Bryce Cartwright, turned out to be a wise move, and the same applies to Mitch Rein, and Peta Hiku. I'm not to fussed about the others.
