Cronulla & Broncos games are huge.

I don’t expect a win against the warriors, but I’m keen to see how May goes in the halves. If we can compete I’ll be happy.

I think the game against the Warriors is really going to come down to how well we defend.

Warriors don't have particularly good defence, so even without Maloney and Cleary we should be a decent chance of scoring points.

The problem for us is that the Warriors have tremendous go forward and are good at scoring points (usually in quick succession), and their wingers are particularly dangerous. The game will be won and lost based on how well we can contain their forwards, and possibly the performance of our wingers under the high ball in defence.

Start winning again the clouds will go away. If we drop the next 2 or 3 games the vultures in the media will be baying for blood. They have nothing else to do.

We drop the next 3 games and we will probably be outside the 8, blood will certainly be spilled if that happens.

If we finish outside the top four this is a bad season for us. f**k the excuses.

Nah we aren’t dropping out of the 8 anytime soon.

9th place is on 14 points.

I think 28 points will make the 8 this year, so we’re pretty much assured of finals footy.

The 8 is just about set. There's 8 points between 8th and 9th. Would take a choke of epic proportions to miss out.

I doubt we miss the 8 but I think there will be a bit more pain to come given our hard draw coming up with the players we have out. I still believe we will go on a run post Origin.

If anyone can do it... we can.

We look to be repeating last years form in reverse. Our up games are better. But our down games are worse.

Mate, you were patting Cleary on the back for finishing outside the top 10 when we had an injury ravaged season. The exact same thing has happened this year & anything outside of top 4 is bad?

I think the idea is that we should be better as an organisation now than back then.

I just have to say. The article says speculation about Griffin has come up twice now as if that's evidence. Blind speculation from the media means nothing.

Some people are never happy. We are in the 8. We have had our best 17 for one game this year. The guys coming back in we can make a huge run

People need to remember we still have Edwards, Mansour, Blake (well back now), RCG, McKendry, Wallace out of our top 17. Had no Cleary for 7 weeks. Throw in the Origin guys in and out of the team.

Yet we have beaten the top 2 teams in the comp. so there has been improvement over the prior years no matter where in the 8 we finish

Top 2 yes, Best 2 f**k no. Melbourne, Sharks will be the teams to beat when it matters

If we finish 7th or 8th that's simply not true.

There has only been improvement if we finish higher than we did last year and if our season is longer than last year.

Finishing 7th or 8th and going out week 1 or 2 would most definitely not be an improvement.. although by finals we should have sorted our form out and be good for taking the next step this year.

The outs are irrelevant. As I said we should be much better prepared for the injuries this year compared to when Ivan had it. We've done our rebuild, fixed our junior pathways and Gus proudly talks about Panthers being a development club. By default Griffin has a huge advantage over Cleary.

Look at our spines experience this week, the back 3 and bench last week experience. Why do you think we went to get Grant for next year? Most of our old heads are out it hurts teams

So injuries may cost us a few positions on the ladder but we have 5 Origin players to comeback in. Assuming we stay fit we have the team that can go on a run
