It was recently mentioned on one of the threads here that apparently WT have signed a couple of players for next year. Seems other clibs are active and publicly annoucing signings, will WT say anything at sioem stage? I know we have trumpteted the continued progress of youth with the contract extensions of some more younguns but where is the experience coming in?

Also any news on departures? I know Lawrence was being shopped to the ESL and apparently Galloway too. There are still quite a few WT players up for renewal but given the performace (or lack thereof) iof the squad I'm not sure any should be pressed for extensions.

Galloway has definitely been allowed to leave and he's been looking at the ESL. Their new marquee signing scheme got the green light, which appeared to be what Galloway was waiting on.

Lawrence isn't being shopped anywhere. He's just been told he is free to talk with other clubs.

The switch to the back row may be one designed to extend his time at the club for an extra season.

Moltzen is on the market, club letting him talk to other sides.

Only players we've been linked to are Lewis Brown and f**king Ryan Morgan

Second row needs to be our key recruitment spend.

IMO the club has the talent at the centre position and I really rate the props in system to be better than Galloway

Pauli Pauli ,Daniel Tupou, Lewis Brown and Ryan Morgan are the ones we will most likely to sign.

This is my fear too with Taupau.

In saying that does anyone else think Taupau has lost 'some' of his impact starting? I still love his enthusiasm but I just think his stats are down compared to last year. Maybe I am just a hard marker....

We won't be signing anyone unless we release some players under contract for 2016. Straight from JTs mouth at the coaches night tonight

Well, shows how much the club is in the do-do's with finances and over priced contracts for the old regime players. We have to cull the deadwood, take the hit and buy some talent to address the obvious backrow problems we have. We cannot go on 'as is'- 2015 written off, 2016 looks going the same way unless some brave decisions are made, and what? Hope for things to gel in 2017? There will be almost no supporter base left by then with the abdication of the need to be competitive.......... I fear for this club surviving if this keeps up, We have traded way too long on 2005, and with little to show in the succeeding years..

We really need to pepper our squad with new signings. Way I see it, shoe ins include:

1. Teddy
2. Nofo
3.
4. Simona
5. Richards (if still up to FG fitness)
6. Moses
7. Brooks
8. Woods
9. Farah
10. Tupau
11.
12.
13.

14. Cherrington
15.
16.
17.

We then need to sign experienced players to fill as much of these gaps as possible. Anything left over can be filled by:

Naiquama
Lawrence
Sironen
Sue
Ava
Lodge

I can't see how we can still have Richards in the squad. He is way too slow. We can keep him if we have a tonne of speed there excluding him but I think its just too risky. We've been hammered the last couple of weeks due to a lack of speed and it happened last year as well.

Our speed out wide in my opinion is the only area that needs to be immediately fixed.

Assuming we fix that though I honestly feel the next issue is the coach. We have had extremely poor game plans throughout this year and I think our structures have lost us games that we should have won.

I don't think Richards will be resigned. This wasn't mentioned but JT said depending on how nofo goes at center will depend on if we need a new center or a new winger for next year. With him, Simona and naquaima under contract I'm just putting 2 and 2 together.

How on earth are we so hamstrung that even with the current squad there is no room to move within the cap?

None of them are overly pressing for re-signing either at this stage.

Moltzen and Halatau would be on the most coin out of that ground, and it still wouldn't be much.

If Galloway leaves, and most of these others go elsewhere, we would be able to buy one decent player.

It seems there are some ESL players starting to head to the NRL. Perhaps we should look in that direction. Might be cheaper too.

Someone like Larne Patrick would be good.
