Who do you all suggest we buy as depths players?? Let's just go and sign Cooper Cronk, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Corey Parker to second tier contracts and play them reserve grade. Easy fixed!!!

No, not in any way am I saying that, what I am saying is that these 2 are in their mid 20's- had enough years under their belts at other clubs to make an impact but have not progressed, played only a few games in the NRL and will certainly not put pressure on the main NRL squad.

I'd like or depth [players to be capable of putting pressure on the main squad to perform, I just dont see these 2 doing that. I'd rather young guns with potential or being held back by strong squads eg Roosters / Bulldogs. I hope I'm wrong and this is the chance they need but................................

Nuts, I think you miss the point, every year some of the NYC team become too old to play the following year in that comp, some of those guys just might make it and would be better off playing in the NSW Cup and develop their game. Plus we have guys who are not usually in the top 17 but in the 25 man squad, who may improve enough to not only take the place of a guy in the 17 who then become experienced depth players, could be for example, Lovett who plays more in the NSW Cup or even Cherrington ;-)

I think you should just read the following, these are what frustrates supporters, we know we can't go out and sign the likes of Cronk, RTS etc

Have you re-signed Ava yet?
punt Robbie and sign an array of Niff Nuffs.

I am just as frustrated as the next Tigers supporter!! Nor do I think Hunt and Rankin will be stars, but in reality, all clubs make these type of signings. I don't think they should be promoted as "top notch" signings as WTs try to make out, they should barely rate a mention to be honest.

In the modern era of salary cap, depth signings are just that - there for depth in case your halfback, hooker etc goes down, gets suspended etc. Unfortunately, for many teams, not just ours, these signings are not really there to put pressure on the incumbent. Just look at the Austin / Moses situation - Austin could have stayed and tried to put pressure on young Mitch (or vice versa), but Canberra offered him a starting job and the rest is history. I believe the problem more lies around the salary cap and more specifically the 2nd tier cap.

It is easy just to say "go and get some young bloke from Roosters who wants a go" but it doesn't always work out like that. Some kids would rather stay in a successful organisation and therefore you may have pay them a lot more cash to come across. Then we start paying overs and get into more salary cap trouble and the cycle continues.

At the end of the day all we want is for Tigers to be a success, so for the mean time I will trust in the powers to be. But rest assured, if I don't see some form of improvement soon then I will be happy for JT to be shown the door!

Fair enough. I suppose at very least they wouldn't be on much $$$. A key requirement for the bargain basement Wests Tigers- at very least until the situation with Farah is resolved one way or the other..

At best we have him for one more year as he would be sure to sign elsewhere for 2017. At worst he's gone for 2016. Imagine our forward pack with no Farah & no Tapau. Thanks, JT & Marina.

Just sell the whole lot to Harry or close the doors . The pricks running this place , past and present have completely f**ked this club and I can't see it ever changing :(

These insane decisions by the board & Taylor reek of something untoward planned for WT future in Sydney by the contemptible scum @ the NRL led by the pompous british cream puff David Smith!!

I love how we take no name players, turn them into stars, then let them leave. Its just hilarious!

In all seriousness though, I don't blame Taupau for wanting out. He isn't a local junior, has only really just started his career in FG (he is only 25 believe it or not) and has already moved once...wouldn't be phased about moving again. The amount of BS that plagues our club is astronomical.

Can't blame Smith for the shambolic management of Balmain, Magpies and Wests Tigers for the best part of 30 odd years

Taupau and Farah out. Twp depth players as back up. Brilliant.

Looks like 2016 is written off by the club
