Not really. the 3 previous years they finished top of the ladder, not fourth. And we all know that if - for instance - the top 3 brought their best form into the finals it would have been different.

But Melbourne did what they had to do - hence my comment about them being the best big match side in the world. Anyone seeing a negative in that is a fair dinkum f*cktard.
Your the farktard!!!!! So you think if you are the best team through the regular season you should be given the premiership???? Go watch soccer for that sh*te. either that or give storm the premiership for bein the best team of 06' and 08' by your geniused reasoning coz storm didn't bring their 'A' game to the GF's that they played those regular seasons:crazy:

I never thought I'd see an argument on this forum where I'd be cheering for Loudstrat....

Anyways, I hate the storm a lot. However, it's a respectful hate, well as respectful as i can be to a bunch of dirty f**kers who i despise. However, They have created one hell of a winning culture, similar to the Broncos.

Had a laugh watching Good news week on 10, there were more people at the Airport to Greet Lydia Lassila than the Melbourne Storm...
Just goes to show how much respect the Melbourne supporters have for there team.
Bring back the Bears.

Maybe you would earn some respect if you posted that they arrived at the wee early hrs of the morning where most people were still asleep or getting ready for school or work.
They will get a grand reception by our supporters at our family day on 14th March unlike your team.

The Gaba joke has already been done in this thread, there's no prizes for second. Especially when it was originally pointed at you and your geniused Gabaesque posts.

My point was since the 2006 finals series, the top 8 has been littered with injury riddled and out of form sides, with only two maybe three sides in any form to compete. 2009 really wasn't THAT different.

There was nothing negative about that comment.

They just deserve more praise than that.

No we don't. That's just BS revisionist history. What if this and what if that. That's what makes winning GF's so damn hard, unexpected things happen and you have to deal with it.

You can go back to pretty much any GF's and find things that could have went another way (like maybe the storm losing their best player in 08 or a slew of bad refs calls in 06). It doesn't matter, all that counts is who comes away with the win.

The problem is that you make a distinction between being the best big match side and the best side in general. To win the premiership you have to win the big games and the team who is best in big games is the best side.

The negative comment comes from you suggesting that we weren't really the best team and basically got a premiership a bit like Bradbury

Melbourne Storm are to are to Rugby League what McDonalds are to Michelin restaurants.

If McDonalds was funded by said Michelin Restaurants.

No problem with a Victorian team, and it has no bearing on Melbourne. I just can't stand the usurper of our sport foisting a franchise upon us at the expense of any of 3 foundation clubs.

The Storm are a well run franchise, fantastic staff and players. Good on the Victorians who have gotten behind them (anyone else from outside Vic is just a bandwagoner IMHO), keep pushing for more Rugby League down there in Mexico!

Unfortunately for you guys, the manner of your franchise's inclusion was at the expense of tradition, and pushed in by a corporation that nearly killed the game, and has continued to leech off it for years.

Melbourne's success will always smell bad to those of us who question the fairness of a corporation that is still trying to provide Melbourne's answer to the Swans.

Finding 40000 Melbournians that aren't fascinated with fumbleball is pushing runny sh*t uphill with a strainer.

Been watching Gordon Ramsay lately? Michelin Restuarants?? Where you go to eat tyres??

I think you mean Restaurants that have been awarded the Michelin "star" or "stars"

I could be wrong but Im pretty sure that restuarant rating system doesn't exist in at all in Australia?

Its a stretch (or a convenient scapegoat) that the merger or passing of those clubs had anything to do with Melbourne.

Hate to tell you this mate but i know alot of storm fans who were there from the beginning. And who live in NSW.

So by your theory anyone in NSW who goes for Brisbane are bandwagoners too.

I can't wait to see the Storm come crashing down in a heap. Problem is they have so much talent in there squad and seem to be able to get away with Grappling.
