I watch as many games possible.
Sure some games are poor and uncompetitive but when you compare to other comps like AFL, where 90% are uncompetitve and crap, this is one of the best comps in the world.
I watch most games cause every week you get gems like Storm and Cowboys, I even had more interest in the Sharks beat down of the Knights over other sports simply because I loved watching the Sharks.
But it comes down how many close games there are every week.

I simply pity those who only watch a sport because it is the sport their teams plays in. They aren't really rugby league supporters. I am a rugby league supporter who happens to love the Eels.

I watched every minute of all 8 games on the weekend.

On another note, funnily enough the AFL is having its closest competition in years.

Hate to say it, but after being as excited as can remember I seem to have just tuned the NRL out

Not that interested in any other games, don't watch or listen to any NRL shows , and have no faith at all in the games administration under Greenberg

Sure we cocked up, but its pretty obvious we were following the Bulldogs script, everyone is doing it just that our admin is amateurish and being screwed from within

When will the NRL launch investigations elsewhere, its absolutely certain that these deals are done everywhere (maybe not at the Kinights or Tigers currently)

Would have been done when for instance Gasnier came back from France, Bennett and Tinkler were at the Knights, Thoroughbreds etc and so on , don't get started on the Roosters when every second player is on the Footy how for instance

I only watch and attend Eels games, the uneven playing field that is so obvious is smothering the games interest for many, we joined the others to be successful, got sh*t on from within and the game as a whole is now suffering

Wonder if Greenberg and his cronies understand that they have succeeded in sucking the life out of the game for many, helped by the Terrorgraph, a sad day for me and plenty around here

Back to enjoying my kids and others playing park footy except for the Eels games, well done to the hierarchy by singling us out :(:(

I tuned out after about rnd 5 knowing we where $ucked. When my clubs going well i take more interest in the opposition. Now i just do not care. I will still watch the odd parra game and if its on Panthers but i wont go out of way to watch any game now nor would i look forward to it.Just if i am not doing anything.
Even jumping on the net to read the team news on a tuesday i enjoyed. Now i couldn't care less.

If HAYNE signs with roosters it will be like the final kick in guts. I have stated before that i enjoy the AFL and have even started a yearly trip down south to watch a game at the MCG.
The more Bull$HIT the NRL goes on with the closer i start to get to the other side.

What the NRL needs to understand is gone are the day of the only thing you could follow is NRL and cricket.
With foxsports we are given the chance to watch some of the biggest and best sports in the world. You have the NFL - NBA -Champions league - EPL - A-League -AFL followed by tennis and baseball etc.

Fans want to see different teams doing well. Otherwise they lose interest if it is the same old same old.
I loved the EPL but i did lose a little interest. Now i love NFL but follow multiple sports.
I grew up following parra and always have that connection for that but there is only so much a fan will take before they check out other sports and start to enjoy them more

Id rather watch Parra play over any NFL game.
Id rather watch 90% of NFL games then NRL games not featuring Parra

What does that make me?

I've been saying our administration is terrible for years and what has happened this year is the icing on the cake.
I love the game but yes its hard watching Parra this year now after what has happened. Finally we had a winning team and were doing well only to lose it. Its a hard season to cop.

This right here, is the dictionary definition of a fair weather fan.

"I'm interested if my team is winning".

That's real passion for your team.. :sarcasm:

addition to my previous comment...

There's nothing wrong with liking/following other sports, following the NRL/Eels is not an exclusive thing, it's not an either/or situation.

I follow the NFL, NRL, NHL, some cricket, baseball, and a bit of the EPL.

But regardless of how the Eels are going I will always watch them play, and I will never lose interest. They could get the spoon 5 years on the trot and I will still turn up for them

Call me hopeless, call me naive, but the Eels are my team, and I support them no matter what. Same with the teams I support in other sports.

The problem with watching a lot of american football over the last 4 years is that I have come to accept it as a far superior game to League. I don't have an NFL team as such - just cannot manufacture that devotion to a team like I developed to Parra as a lad. I would love Parra to become the Sydney based NFL franchise. I would totally ditch league.

I really like golf. If all of the team formed a pennants side I would follow them around and watch them play.

It would be great.

Here is the problem. I still watch Parra. But i lose interest in watching other teams play other teams when parra aren't going well. Make sense?
Yes when they are going well i look more forward to it then when they are getting flogged. Is this not normal? When they are getting flogged and there is no way they can win i turn tv off and find something else to do. I do not see the point of sitting there and watching the rest when i have other things to do.
It is not about passion - I just already know the result

If we had not lost our points this year and i could not watch a game i would record it and be upset.
Now i do not care so much as we have nothing to play for. I must not be passionate supporter lol.

Will always watch and support the Eels but I gotta say the refereeing (and the bunker) are at an all time low and really pissing me off

Still cant believe GI gets off scot free and Smith was 3 metres offside (in the Cowboys game) yet not penalised, its not a level playing field

Everyone supports their team in different ways, mate. There is no right or wrong way despite what others may think.

Don't worry about them. You should keep supporting the Panthers in the way you want.
