If you judge fights solely on who was closer to ending it, Diaz wins with his combinations in the 3rd. Shame he spent the other 23 minutes of the match getting hammered on his back.

thats idiotic... no one would do that...

the debate we are having is over GSP's grappling. i called it lay and pray... frailty was pointing out how technical he is on the ground.

theres no doubt about how the fights are judged... control is a very important aspect of it... and GSP is the master of top control.

but as ive tried to point out... IMO he is very defensive and is limited in what he actually does on the ground.

but what he actually does do... he does excellently.

i just dont rate him in the top echelon of grapplers.

Of course it's idiotic, I was just pointing out that at no stage was GSP close to finishing it.

Just on the WW division...some really interesting potential fights to be sorted out...what would you like to see?

GSP V Hendricks

Diaz V Kampmann - Would be an awesome fight! Both like to bang and goto war and both are good on the ground.

Kim V Ellenberger

Maia V Gunnar Nelson - Here's hoping they end up on the ground!

Condit V MacDonald

Anyone still watching TUF?

Dylan Andrews got through to the quarter finals quite impressively. Looks a decent fighter albeit a little flawed.

That's all good man I just watched it, he's quality could be a dark horse.

How bad was Kevin casey though (the king) did not throw a single punch, did not look for a submission was absolutely ineffectual in both his fights, Bubba hit the jackpot drawing him in the wildcard fight.

Yep, it was an entertaining fight. Andrews has heart but as opposed to his last opponent didn't show much on the ground against someone able to work off the bottom. He always seemed to be planning his next move but rarely got it off. Good win, nevertheless.

I'd rather see Bubba advance than Josh tbh. The way Josh hustled himself out of a fight with Uriah was a bitch move imo.

I really had Casey down as one of the favourites considering some of the quality opponents he's had. He and Hall are the two who have any kind of notoriety so I thought they would cruise until at least the quarters. I had heard of Tor Troeng too but it's always hard to tell with the Euro guys.

Casey was a real let down.

Rumour has it that Gustafson is out if his bout with Mousasi this coming Saturday due to a head cut. Wonder if the card will be scrapped or a replacement found given the fact it was in Sweden.

Cut is true, but as yet the Swedish commission hasn't said Gustaffson can't fight - so Dana White says the fight is still on.

Uriah Hall, that is all.

Dylan v Uriah makes for a very interesting semi. Obviously have a soft spot for Dylan as a kiwi (close enough to an Aussie on the show). Comes across like a great bloke, very well spoken and family orientated.

Uriah is a machine though. Some brutual KO's. Hopefully Dylan with his good chin can bring the fight to him and test him.

Dana was always going to put Josh and Uriah on opposite sides of the semis. Will make for a good finale if it all pans out.
