Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

Loss v Manly 10-12 Top 4 Spot 2015
Loss v Cowboys 0-39 Semi Final 2015
Loss v Storm 6-26 Minor Premiership 2016

Might be the type of Coach that can rebuild a struggling club and get them to the Semi Finals.

Taking a Semi Final team to a Premiership is another challenge and the evidence to this points says he is not capable of delivering.

Hang on we had John Lang here and we lost many final games with him as coach, and he won with Panthers

That's a valid point. It is my view that we have a squad capable of winning the 2016 Premiership. If Bellamy or Bennett was is charge, I believe we win it comfortably.

For me, it's not a player issue, it is a coaching issue. Systems, structures, mindset, game plan, discipline, confidence.

Here's one for you.

A team is losing the last game of the season by x amount of points with y amount of match time left. There is a miracle chance that they can still win the game with a couple of quick tries - time and lack of possession is the enemy. But it has been done before.

Should that team resume every restart with the same deep kickoff to receivers left hand corner or would they be better off attempting a short kickoff with a contested chance of regaining possession and going on all out attack.

Even if the game is out of reach and knowing that you have a big game/games coming up it would be a great time to actually practice for the last gasp desperate events that might happen in the not too distant future.

No plan B's in that team I reckons.

They don't have game situational awareness Quigs.

What gets me is I think they are physically more fit than other sides but rather than wear the opposition down by smart play and build pressure they play touch footy with it and give cheap possession away.

They are dumb. Simples.

What comes first...the chicken or the egg?

We didn't need to compress defence, the Storm did that for us, & we keep running into it.

How about throwing it early & giving the guys that have nearly 50 tries between them some early ball....this will stretch the defence & maybe make the forwards job that bit easier.

As Carch said, we won 15 games straight by using our backs.

Yeh, it was an ordinary effort converting our numerous chances.

Going for that goal was such a negative move.

Once we get a try, we are underway.

From then on we played nervous.

Beating Melbourne in Melbourne requires a lot of things to go right. The Sharks moved the ball, created chances but took wrong options and did not execute.

Melbourne got in front and played their usual disciplined stuff. They are good front runners. We needed to create scoreboard pressure to take them out if their groove.

We lost players to injury and didn't recover quickly enough. Didn't get the rub of the green but need to be better in the semis. It's not the end of the world. Learn the lessons, do the rehab and smash the raiders next week.

Has some big decisions to make selection wise this week and also probably have the Ennis charge to deal with. Would of been good if a few of thr fringe players were rotated in and out of the team at various stages throughout the season. Ricky must nearly be a certain selection. Not giving Bird a rest after origin has backfired because he has lost it.

Geez we have a poor record down there.

Going to be a problem if we end up back there in the finals, which may well happen.

Club recipe: add 1/2 cup of flour, a tablespoon of butter, a teaspoon of sugar, 1/4 of a litre of milk, and a 2.5 pound turd. Stir round & round thoroughly, then bake for 30-minutes.

No icing to be added. Ever.

Repeat annually.
