Hmmm - interesting!
Look, APART from the Gal comment which was a shocker, he came across pretty well on the Shark Cast.
HOWEVER. he reminds me of a typical coach from a small club (i.e. my background is country NSW - Bathurst). In other words, any of the decent coaches from country NSW sound as knowledgeable as Flanno.
SO - the question is, do ALL NRL coaches sound that way (i.e nothing special)? I know Loz does...
Or, are the Bennetts/Bellamys/Maguires etc really 'a cut above' the rest?
I suspect the latter-mentioned coaches are genuinely better.
I would love to see Nathan Brown as our head coach, with Flanno as 'Assistant Coach', if he would be willing to cop the demotion. He obviously has a heart for the club ad the area.
Find me a club that doesn't have at least 3 players in the squad with the shits at the coach and I'll go up to Gal...introduce myself as Newmans lover and challenge him to 3 rounds of Greco Roman wrestling.
Poor Newman copping it from both sides nowHahaha! Well you've got as big a mouth as Flanno! Pretty sure Newman didn't want your relationship divulged in this way!!! ;-)
Too many precious, greedy, ego driven, selfish players these days.
Was more of a team mentality in past decades.
Back on topic - that's a yes from me.

Are talking of the past when a footballer worked an 8 hour day, 5 days a week, trained 3 nights & spent more time at the pub with his team mates than his missus?
f**k I hate getting old.
The Sharks are still trying to get ET back to coach in some capacity
