Look, APART from the Gal comment which was a shocker, he came across pretty well on the Shark Cast.

HOWEVER. he reminds me of a typical coach from a small club (i.e. my background is country NSW - Bathurst). In other words, any of the decent coaches from country NSW sound as knowledgeable as Flanno.

SO - the question is, do ALL NRL coaches sound that way (i.e nothing special)? I know Loz does...

Or, are the Bennetts/Bellamys/Maguires etc really 'a cut above' the rest?

I suspect the latter-mentioned coaches are genuinely better.

I would love to see Nathan Brown as our head coach, with Flanno as 'Assistant Coach', if he would be willing to cop the demotion. He obviously has a heart for the club ad the area.

Always bothers me that most footy coaches aren't very smart. At least they appear that way. I'm a huge soccer fan as well and the knowledge and tactics the majority have shit it in over league coaches. I think league is waiting for a real innovator. The current lot all do the same thing.
