Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

What's your plan though Ads? You walk into the club as CEO tomorrow and then what?
Tell Flanno he is done.

He has the season to finish, to help him gain employment elsewhere.

Start the search and process for a new coach.

Let the players know, no contract will be signed with a coach clause.

Check the salary cap...see where we are at.

Let Valentine know he is our next Lockyer and like Gallen he will be afforded every chance to represent.

Enough for day one.

Salary cap homework to do.

Find a way to offload Flanno at seasons end as well as any one else remotely involved in bringing Asada to this club (not players obviously). Interview coaches starting with Nathan Brown.

Ok, so you want him gone at seasons end, not now. Presumably because they are going OK?

What if we go deep in the finals, and what if there is no way to offload him without paying out the final 2 years of his contract in full?

Like a lot of people on here I would've been happy to see the back of Flanno. But we're winning. Sharks win, life's good (and flange is safe).

I'll happily leave things in Gorman's more than capable hands. He knows the full story and will do whatever is best for the club, even if we can't see it at the time.

Could be worse... you could follow the Dragons!

Obviously we've gone too far into the season to be changing coaches. If it was round 5 it's a different story.

I can't see us being anything but cannon fodder if we do make the finals but unless he wins us the comp there's no way back for me. I'd either pay him out or change his job title.

Why do you say that when this is one of the most open competitions in many years. We've had wins against quite a few teams in the top 8 including a double on the Roosters. Why so negative?

Agree with this - we've beaten the Roosters x 2 and Cowboys, both are real premiership contenders as well as Souths. A win over the Dogs this weekend would be unbelievably good for the teams confidence heading into the home stretch, not to mention it would bring me great pleasure to see us topple those grubs at Belmore. Can't believe I'm saying that already.

I'd say we have as good a chance of winning this as anyone, but we know that Finals Footy is completely different to the first 26 weeks.

Come on Sharkies.

I dont think we have the strike player to do the damage imo. The finals are another beast. Barba could be that guy though, we just need to back him and put him at fullback full time.

I agree with Glen and Slayer. We have beaten all in the top eight except for Storm and Bronks. We'll beat the Dogs this weekend. We do have the team to get to the GF and, it seems, the coach to get them there.

mediocre backline
good forwards
below average halves

we will do very well to make the finals
it would be a flaming miracle to do much better

True in a lot of ways but we have a hooker that has given us try assists like no hooker in our club ever has.

If we turn some finals games into arm wrestles like we did against the Chooks we don't have to score a heck of a lot. A bit of brilliance from Bird or Barba here and there and we'll be a tough club to topple over.

The Queensland teams are the ones that will give us the most trouble in my opinion.

I'm no Flanno fan but we are competing currently and in the top 8. Short of a catastrophic losing streak to finish the season I can deal with one more year. Next year with new halves, an awesome hooker and some solid fullback choices will be the deal breaker for me.

Flanno needs a lot of work and needs some outside advice maybe, but he is getting the job done enough to not warrant a pay out at the moment.

I see some things I like in him, and some things I don't, but that's life.

I hope the only thing the club does now is back him 100% and fans need to do the same so there are no excuses to be used later.

The club needs a hard edge, but we also need a f**k everyone else and rally edge as well.

If the Morris boys don't carve us up out wide I will be surprised. I'm still unimpressed with the centres. Beale offers nothing. Also The Dogs were horrible in the first half last week then blew them off the park in second half.Dunno what Flannos record is like against Hasler
