Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

We tipped the balance in favour of out of Sydney teams by not making the top 4.

I said it before the game, top 4 is not just about a 2nd bite of the cherry, it's not having to play away as well.

You can bet your bottom dollar that we will end up in Qld or Melbourne if we win week 1, & that will be it.

Should have had money on it thursday Cardy.

Hard ask getting to the last game from here though.

NRL coaching.
It's not what you know - it's who you can buy.

Roosters - the team everybody believes is rorting the system based on the fact that they have a squad that would go close to beating NSW (in theory).

Broncos - 3rd party payments galore...

Cowboys - cheap houses for all...

Melbourne - known cheats...

Any coincidence that this is our top four?

I have to say, though, Storm doesn't look as good on paper than when the big four were there... So, maybe they have cleaned up their act...

Hearing Madge's comments after the game about the club and fans it makes me think it's worth giving him a call and seeing if he wants to be a part of it when Flannos contract runs out.

On flanno - he's exceeded my expectations this year. Hats off to him.

I'm prepared to admit I was wrong. Still does some stuff that concerns me, however I think he's done well considering everything that's happened in the last couple of years.

He'd be sacked if he hadn't found a way to bring Ennis here. Having to base the team's direction around Robson (it's f**king incredible in any era of the game that a whole game plan would be based around minimising the halfback's touches!!) and whoever would've been at hooker would've f**ked us completely.

Has exceeded everyone's expectations this year.

It will be very interesting how he manages the squad next year with the different options with Barba/Holmes - Chad/Maloney/Bird - etc.

No one would give a f**k anyway if he pulled it all off this year.

Has surprised me this year particularly after a poor start.

He didn't bring Ennis, he was signed while Flanno was still suspended.

He was signed in June; http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/...-with-the-cronulla-sharks-20140617-zsawp.html

while Flanno's ban wasn't lifted until November; http://www.theaustralian.com.au/spo...n-shane-flanagan/story-fnca0von-1227108492704

That's not to say Flanno wouldn't have bought him anyway, an ageing quality player signing their last contract is a Flanno special.

Yep...want him gone..

Just about killed us....

The players seem to like him...

As anyone does a yes man...

Harold ain't coming home under his watch...

Our only hope is to give Bellamy the challenge of bringing Harold home...

Flanno is mediocre at best..

Even though he was suspended he would have had something to do it with.
There's no way he would not have to talked to him at some stage before he signed. Just had to make sure the NRL didn't find out...

I highly doubt that, if he was involved and the NRL found out at any stage you would think that is the end of his NRL career.

I doubt he wasn't involved
it would not even have been directly
an intermediary negotiator could have sought 'advice' from flanno during discussions
