Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

Congrats to Manly who showed more guts & heart in one game than our lot have shown all year.

Understand your frustration TSSOL but I totally disagree with this statement & think it's wrong & unfair.

We have shown plenty of ticker this year & won many a close game because of it.

If we'd lost just 1 of those close games, we'd not have needed to win yesterday to make the 4.

Was thinking last night that close games (& moreso "the grind") take it out of ya physically & mentally, so perhaps we are done. Thank f**k we are playing the other team that is done. If Canterbury had lost & we'd played the Dragons, I'm not so sure we'd beat them.

I'd like to hear the coach and the leadership players explain the gameplan in the final 20 mins of the game yesterday.
Cos it was a fugging shambles.

Sounds crazy doesn't it? But I agree with you. Dunno why, but Saints have been playing garbage for weeks and still in it. They will fancy themselves, we will too, but once they get into it and the back end of the game, that's where the story will unfold or unravel. Gallen forcing his hand, etc

looked like banana's, played like potato's.

I hope Taga pulls up okay and Fifita is back.
Gordon played okay yesterday but man, his passing game at full pace is terrible, his passes could end up anywhere. I think its time Holmes played fullback and got more involved, he is wasted on the wing if we are just going to bash it up the middle with Gallen back to playing 5/8 again.

Do you guys think the Sharks tanked it yesterday???

Why the hell would they throw that game yesterday and miss out in a top 4 position where they at least get the double chance??.. They now have a much harder road where if they win they travel Brisbane or Townsville, then (by miracle if they win that) it's a potential prelim final in Melbourne or against the roosters... you would be crazy to want to go down that path... I think we have to be realistic we don't have the halves to go all the way this year we are to predictable.
If we can't win a crucial game like the one yesterday in front of a packed house against a team with nothing to play for what hope do we have in the finals???.. Also don't think Flannos masterstroke plan of playing with 16 men helped by giving Aronoa no game time.. why on earth would you give the other team a leg up by playing 1 man down?? it defies logic.

No, but his game plan has to change in the finals.

To not play Arona at all, but instead have Toops, Heini and Gal, all over 30, slug out big minutes is inexcusable.
The sideways ball came back as well. Bird is terrible for running across field.

Our game plan next week just needs to be K.I.S.S, because after last night, we will struggle to make an impact on the finals.
Thankfully, this is the last year we will see Robson play more than 5 top flight games.

I don't play coy to Flanno mentioning he is the most under rated half back in the comp. He is the worst half back in the comp.
His kicking is attrocious, his running doesn't threaten anyone and his passing game is so slow.
I was having a conversation yesterday with a Manly official, and he said that he believed Robson would struggle to set up a try in the 20's because he is so slow.
I agreed.

I think we have done incredible to get to the finals with out any real halves, but I also think we won't make an impact.

One thing is for sure, getting 2 competent halves next year, we cannot play sideways and structured footy. We need to play direct.

Agree 100%.

I thought Heino's second stint was great. He added energy and took us forward. Unfortunately, Gall was spent.

Against Souths we need to meet them physically and run through them. Wade and Lewis running straight lines will create opportunities. I can't see the slow structured block plays doing much damage.

Give yourself an uppercut anyone who thinks we tanked or there was reason to.

don't think anyone is seriously saying it.
I would rather play bunnies this week over roosters.
I know we don't get a second chance.....but history has proven the second chance means absolute f**k all to the sharks.

We need to be under the pump with little chance of victory.

you would rather a sudden death semi this week then if they win (a very big IF) then need to travel to Brisbane or Townsville, rather than play the roosters with a chance to go to the prelim final should they win??, and should they lose games still held in Sydney??.. I've heard it all now!.

He doesn't seriously think that.

But he knows in his heart that the sharks without being under backs to the wall pressure don't put in great performances, which is fair enough.

Either way, we still needed that Manly game.

We can't win it this year anyway and it's evident to see. Get as far as we can for the youth to get some experience and have a shot at it next year with some genuine halves.

Yep agree, f**king frustrating game to be at..seen this shit before. In fairness though as others have mentioned this team has over achieved. The thing that I'm most pissed about is that I actually believed it for a minute. We are building for the next couple of years, but will Maloney have the cajones to overcall Gal, cause if he don't its groundhog day.

Oh man. People thinking we 'tanked' it... Haha this forum is so good sometimes.

We played a silly game of football and a lost is what we deserved.

If we lose next week, then our negative and almost arogant play yesterday is justified.
