Flanno ain't the sharpest tool in the shed but the side turns up for him. Can think of worst characteristics to have in a head coach.

Should get himself a decent assistant for the tactical side of things.

Good to see Sharkies back in the hunt.

He gets a pass mark for the year. With our squad, top 6 i probably where we belong.

He did well creating a game plan than relied on us not having halves but ultimately we were always long shots with Robbo and Bird as our 7 and 6.

My criticisms of last night would be not starting Fifita and keeping Barba out of the game so long. But ultimately Flanno can't help that the players farged up and kept dropping the ball, and that's what lost us the game.

I'm not his biggest fan but he could not have prevented last night. Cowboys SSO past and present.

Not a Fifita fan , but plenty saw an ambush coming. Who was that surprised the Cowboys started like an express train. Fifita may have slowed them up a bit , but far from certain. As for Barba being too late into the game. Made no difference. From the locker room it locked over from about 30 seconds. So Barba would have needed to start.

7/10. Early in the season he would have been a solid 3/10, so there has been improvement. Still not convinced we can go all the way with him.

We failed to fire in 2 important late season games & beat a shot team in the middle.

Not sure who's to blame for this?

He coached a good season....but in the end, it should've been a bit better.

I believe Barba should have been bought on with about 10 mins left in the first half for Robson, he was abysmal( dropping balls missed tackles and pathetic kicking game.
Fifita (except for one horrible play the ball) went well with most of his runs running straight.

The lack of an attacking game plan will always hurt us. Don't think Flanno has it in him even with our new halves to take us all the way. I want him gone.

You guys will never win one with gal there. Hate to say it but he should go.

Horses for courses. He did a great job of leading you out of the drugs dramas but he won't win you a premiership.

The bench use this year is his biggest question mark.

Didn't he bring Barba on when it was 25-0? What's he supposed to do?

I said to my mate watching with me that he will overplay his hand in the hope of a miracle. He made a great run but threw the miracle ball & turned it over. Can't blame him for throwing it in the situation he was put in.

No one can question his heart and his will to win and keep going, but gina is right.

Gal might just be one of those guys who does some great work Week to week, but is destined to never win the big games. Origin, and premierships.

Fair assessment. The team played poorly against Manly. Went back to over conservative grind. Even if we beat Manly we would have got beat by Easts and had a 50/50 against the dogs.

The Cows game was a shocker. We needed a strong start and didn't get it. Players were overawed and didn't deliver.

Flanagan got the team playing better footy and covering for a poor kicking game. Changes still seem to be made only when forced rather than any sense of proactivity. A big text next season will be if he can give the new halves the responsibility to run the team and overcall the big personalities.

He has a decent win record for the Roos.

Hard to find any blue over the last decade who has a decent win rate. The real tragedy is having a once in a generation forward like Gallen and not being able to coach/play him to the team's strength rather than his own.
