which ever dress and shoes you want to put on it we did get the spoon last year and not getting the spoon will be an improvement

whichever hat and coat you slip on over that dress, 'not getting the spoon' isn't a goal to be striving for...

What ever extra big hooded coat you want to put over the dress the hat the cost and shoes not getting the spoon is a mildly better goal than getting it.

From Rothfields blog: "Shane Flanagan wanted to let him go, Lyall Gorman over-ruled him. Same with a couple of other Flanagan was hoping to release. Gorman is entitled to do that but he needs to be careful. Flanagan is no longer accountable for the team's performance when he is not in charge of hiring and firing players. If the team flops, he just says to Gorman - you're picking the team. It's a dangerous practice."

Flannos mouthpiece.

The question is did Flanno make this arrangements without Gorman's knowledge, if the answer is yes then Gorman has all rights to veto any player movement.

You wonder if Flanno understood how releasing and signing players was impacting the cap as well

If the results rest on the coach then so does the selection of the squad

Agreed. Rothfield loves the flange though. If Flanno really wanted them out of the squad he can just not pick them. If Gorman/Board wont green light the releases then surely thats the next step.

You'd think parra would've supplied the txt to clear them by Now re the Gordon issue.
Basically they've been called billshitters.
If I was them I would have .
Wonder why they haven't.

Because Gordon was given permission to test the water but wasn't actually given the ok to move....Gordon's manager said it himself.

Thanks CB. Still doesn't cover of why we signed him other than the board is backing him despite the ASADA stuff and being suspended at the time. I'm reading between the lines that there was no one else they thought suitable at the time. He must have been in the box seat to get 3 years though. I mean if they wanted to keep their options open why not 1 year? As I've posted a few times the Board must see some milestone at the end of his extension. One of those mysteries I will never understand I guess. Ill move on.

The fact is even avoiding the spoon is an improvement on last year
If he manages to scrape into the eight he is safe for another year at least

Unrealistic expectations abound here
Some seem to think anything less than top four is a failure
Some seem to think we have a great squad
We actually don't
A good forward pack
No halves
Awful kicking game
And very very ordinary outside backs

Not according to Flanno...

"Jack Bird is only young and learning the game and it's something we'll be working really hard on over the bye week, to get that kicking game right. It's been quite good over the last six or seven weeks but it definitely wasn't good enough tonight."

If the last 6 or 7 weeks has been a "quite good" kicking game I'd hate to see a bad one...

Taken in context on the first half dozen games it hasn't been quite as catastrophic
So you could say there was an improvement of sorts
But that's a bit like saying wades passing game was better in the second Titans game when compared to the first

I think they were well aware the kicking was awful and it's obvious much work has happened there and continues to

Watch the Sharks play munch?

Dumbo was asked straight out who's in charge of the kicking at the presso - he couldn't answer the question.

And he's the friggin coach!

He didn't know guys were getting injected.
Doesn't know how Gordon got the idea he was getting a transfer.
Doesn't know who's kicking at crucial times of a game.

The defence of this bloke is ludicrous.
