Are Simon Williams and Dan Issac better than Lulia?

I say they are.
Both have size, power, skills and good hands.
I'd have Issac in firstgrade next week if it were up to me.
I'd certainly have him training with firstgrade.

so instead of wicks this week is lulia... i guess at least wicks bashing gets a week of...
FYI - I'm more of a talk up guy than a talk down guy.
The intent of this thread is to talk up a couple of our best NYC players who should be getting a few wraps.

Lulia is crap. Slow plus not even that strong plus does not know how to set up his winger. No flair, not even that good on the D... Please just drop him forever now. Sau least showed he had some toe and try finding ability....

forgetting Callan, roops?

Isaac and Callan are surely our future centres, given we aren't buying anyone in that position.

Callan is more impressive at a junior level than Williams, but you have to factor in that Williams is a tank and is physically ready for seniors - as is Issac.
Callan still needs to add some size and strength, despite being much better in the forwards than i thought he would be (not that i've seen a single decent hit up from him.)
Williams looks and plays like Anthony Quinn, but he has sweet ball skills. He catches passes he has no right to catch and delivers passes he has no right to make.
Lulia can't catch a pass in traffic and Sau can't give a pass in traffic, but Williams can do both and by next season the 19 year old will be stronger than both of them too.

perhaps.

just hope we hang on to at least 2 of them, and they make it.
If i had to rate the 5 players in NYC closest to being ready for firstgrade i'd have 4 centres (Richo, Issac, Williams, Edwards) - and Schirnack as the 5th.

Noticed in todays Herald that Jermain Ale is running around with Wests in the local comp. Ex Knights junior who went to the Roosters a couple of years ago (with Topou I think) and absolutely tore it up in Flegg, now he was a very handy centre, been playing well for wests scored a couple of trys at the weekend. I remember at the Roosters he set some sort of try scoring record.

didn't jermaine go to the raiders at some stage? i thought he came home due to commitment issues... im surprised to hear that he's still playing real NRL tbh.

He did go to the Raiders. Not sure what happened to him after that. I know when he left the Knights a lot of supporters were pretty
p!ssed off. Has/Had a lot of talent.

Ale played a couple of first grade games for Canberra on the wing.

Is now coming of the bench for Wests, playing in the forwards I think.

Ale had a couple of games of firstgrade at the Raiders i think, and continued scoring tries at a very good rate.
I don't know why he doesn't get a run for the big boys, but he has never had a problem scoreing.
