Found on Google:
Concern Troll

A person who disingenuously expresses concern about an issue with the intention of undermining or derailing genuine discussion. (i.e. loses a game/no longer 1st)

The only problem is the 'Concern Trolling' is the 'genuine discussion' here...

I get what your saying but the teams you mentioned were forced to play juniors due to injuries. It's been different for the Dragons who have been lucky to have the same line up until now.

I hate the fact that Mary keeps the 17th man on the bench until the last 10 mins of the game. I can't see why they can't have a spell in the first half. You don't get any benefits of playing with 16 players...

While I'd love to see the juniors given a shot, Mary won't change a winning side. I was kind of hoping we didn't have the bye this week so we could see a different team and how they go. Also i really hope Mary gives the origin players a week off to recover otherwise they'll burn out.

Good points mate.
I don't expect him to give them a shot....as we can't replace first grade guys.

But the numbers 14-17 he needs to give 20 mins to, maybe 25 mins each game, to prep them.

Then the best 3 backs and best 3 forwards in ISP, develop them more one on one, so we have them understanding they are the emerging first graders.

The ISP team look flat, there doesn't seem to be much exciting vision being described to them about their futures.

Imagine if like Penrith we had 8 to 9 first graders out, I can't see anything but a thrashing.

Some interesting comment there Ouryears.

I'm not sure our ISP are flat, they are technically in 4th spot on that ladder, however, more so, very poorly coached and directed. All of them really do suffer from Maryitis, a condition of inflamed promises at the start of the season, only to then realise they are fairy stories which in turn saps the desire straight out of you.
Very importantly you've mentioned the Panthers. Currently 1st in NRL and 1st in ISP and looking through the list of players this weekend in their ISP squad, hardly a recognized player amongst them.
Maybe, just maybe, they are better coached and not filled with dreams at the start of the season, only train hard, play well and your opportunity will come.

The time to give the likes of Herbert, Lomax and John some game time was when we were winning easy and had many points on the board. Circumstances like that takes the edge off the nerves and possibly allows for the youngster to get more time on the field. Doing this helps in two ways. It rests the first grader and gives the reserve grader some valuable experience.
I agree here. It’s inevitable we will have a different side through SOO but how good would it have been for the likes of Lomax, Robson, Host, Sele to have good minutes under their belt in readiness. A definite opportunity missed.

Strange that McIdiot says he has the positions of those playing SOO covered.
If this is so who are they. Nicholls has not been seen even off the bench.
I think Mann, off the bench against the Panthers probably spent more time in the game then all the players, apart from LAM have all season.

I am just as disappointed and frustrated by our effort against the Panthers as everyone but the reaction on this forum can be a little bit hysterical and over the top. "Nene and Lafai should not be in first grade according to some, Nightingale should go, Mann is not a FB, Centre, 5/8 or half. He is even not a winger to some. Dufty is too mistake riddled and can be pressured out of a game, Aitken is to blame for Nightingale's mistakes, can only tackle front on and can't pass. Hunt is soft, Widdop is only a fair weather player, and of course McGregor is the worst coach in the comp.....etc etc". Do we panic?
Good topic.

I'd suggest its a case of "Reaction not Response". Ie Emotion not Thought. And I've been guilty of it at times. Haven't we all?

As Saints fans - we all know the Rollercoaster the Dragons have had us on over many seasons.

And I think being a Dragons Supporter in the NRL is best described by the old Grandma's quote in the movie Parenthood.. Just add "So Furious" in there and I think she's Nailed It...

"You know, it was just so interesting to me that a ride could make me so frightened, so scared, so sick, so excited, and so thrilled all together! Some didn't like it. They went on the merry-go-round. That just goes around. Nothing. I like the roller coaster. You get more out of it"

I don't wan't a Merry-Go-Round side either...
