Are we going to lose Moltzen?

We haven't lost anyone useful yet anyway. Moltzen has been annoyingly hovering around the team looking like a shag on a rock. Gibbs has been meh for years and Fifita runs sideways. If we lose Heighington that'll be pretty lame but even he isn't really a huge loss. Payten is old and worn out. Ryan is a nothing loss. McKinnon plays 30% of the season anyway. Daniela is a nothing loss if he is going to Brisbane. We'll still have Farah, Ellis, Marshall, Blair, Ayshford, Lawrence, Tuqiri, Galloway and probably more signings to come as well as juniors such as Koroibete, Tedesco, Nofoaluma, Finau, Naiyavaro, Sironen, Miller, Mullaney, Groat, Begovich, Roqica, Curran, Corby, Politoni. Then there are our current batch of improvers, Woods, Murdoch-Masila, Dwyer, Simona. This is just a useful cleanout. As long as Marshall and Farah don't sook about their mates leaving and see it for what it really is, needed.

I feel better now:D, but Sheens will have to get over himself & actually promote some of the a/mentioned, something he has been loathe to do of late

David Fifita is going as well.

A fatter and more useless version of Daine Laurie.

I assume the Sharks because everyone knows Andrew was looking elsewhere to sign both he and his brother to NRL contracts and that was a big reason in him negotiating elsewhere

STATEMENT IN RELATION TO TIM MOLTZEN

8/07/2011 5:04:33 PM

In reference to the announcement made by St George Illawarra Dragons of the signing of Tim Moltzen, Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys said:
“The fact that the Dragons made the announcement this afternoon has come as a complete surprise to us,’’ Humphreys said.
“We are extremely disappointed that they chose this course of action without any co-ordination or agreement with us.
“We have been in discussions with Tim Moltzen’s manager regarding his future but at this point have not formally agreed to release him from the final year of his playing contract with Wests Tigers.
“The action by the Dragons to make this announcement prematurely and without reference to us is arrogant and disrespectful to our Club and to Tim Moltzen.
“The fact that they made it on the eve of our game tonight is just plain poor form.”

If it came as a complete surprise to the club then that is their issue..they should have been in constant dialogue with Moltzen's agent IMO.

Whats to say they were not in constant dialogue with his manager?? The article states they were in contact..

Its not his signing that they are surprised with its the Dragons announcement piss poor before a big game for the tigers

At least the Dragons arent pissing about an talking BS like the Tigers, if he signed the Tigers should have made the statement instead of the same crap deniying everything , the same thing happened with Gibbs etc signing with the sharks.

Moltzen- I noticed tonight near the end where he took the ball in goal, ran out hard until he was near the defence and then quickly flipped it to McKinnon to take the tackle.

Sums him up right there. Simply scared on contact. Good riddance. We have enough mentally weak players, one less one will be a good thing.

What you have said is correct. Unrealistic expectations by supporters? If the coach knows this, our management agree, our top players must also deep down recognise this? Why don't our supporters accept this and realise this year will be difficult?

Yeah now we know the reason for Benji's form , good riddance just one less distraction for the team ,we should go the whole hog and drop him.

I try hard not to criticize players to much for without doubt they participate in one of the toughest sports on the planet.

But Moltzen in my opinion would have to be the biggest coward to ever pull on a Wests Tigers jumper, his involvement every game is farcical, his sole intent is nothing more than self preservation. He should be f**king ashamed of himself & to those of his supporters what the f**k are you watching

He is WEAK, gutless & not the type of player we need to come on with 20 to go to try & win us a game

Finally Mr Sheens time to move on you are no longer welcome

the antipathy directed at moltzen in this forum is incredible. the kid had a serious injury last season and has clearly come back this season underdone and lacking confidence. it was obvious after the first game that he simply wasnt up for first grade yet. a smart coach would've given him some time in the reserves to build his confidence up; sheens persists with throwing him in the deep end, further erroding his confidence.
for moltzen's sake, i'm glad he's going to the dragons; it's probably saved his career.

You are totally correct not one of Moltzens performances has been first grade standard a long stint in reserve grade could have got his confidence back and maybe saved his career at WT.SHEENS is totally to blame for this by continually playing him in the top 17 further eroding any confidence he had

How do you explain the exact same behaviour from Moltzen prior to the injury. By the way, glad to see most of you have finally cottoned on to him. Seems it wasn't just me.
