Flanagan is the attack coach. I think we can safely say we wait and watch first. It could be more Flanagan than Seibold. I have little doubt Flanagan will be our next coach if AOB fails this year. Gardner clearly has huge raps on him. We. Have to make sure we beat manly to the punch though. Cos guaranteed they have him in wait if Seibs fails.
Out of interest what gives you the idea that Gardner has raps on Flanno? I haven't read any quotes or anything like that from him about Flanagan, but it's quite possible that I missed something.

The fact he tried to bring him
In as assistant to help O’Brien. O’Brien rejected it and I think it is pretty clear why. Not saying it would have been immediate but Gardner had plenty of options and chose Flanno. Every chance had it gone that way O’Brien would be out of a job.

What I cannot get my head around at present is Willie Peters has Hull KR humming like a well oiled machine with great ball movement and top tier tactical kicking.. Just hammered Wigan and Salford back to back weeks. Why was that attack not coached here? It seems all of AOB’s assistants either leave or actually prove to be better at organising a team than he is. I have nothing personally against Obi and wish him the best, but the evidence all points to a negative trajectory for him.

Lovely, soft draw over the first 6 rounds for us.

We should know Obi’s fate by R7.
my concern with our soft draw to start the season is Ponga. Yes i believe he should be our 5/8, but there will be teething issues as he learns the position and gets match fit.

Will that mean they give O'Brien more time?

Also i doubt we win round 1 against the Warriors in New Zealand. They are home now after basically 2 years in Australia due to covid, so i expect they will have a sell out crowd and will be massively motivated to win for their supporters. The other games we should win though

Beau Fermor has done his ACL on the eve of this seasons start. Poor bugger. He really looked like he was developing into a very handy edge forward.

This isn’t his first ACL either. Pretty sure we let him go after the first.

The Canberra Knights went well.

Pasami
Levi
Tapine
Young
Starling

Would take just about any one of them back..
I wonder what the story is with Danny Levi. He's a genuine first grader, played Test football for NZ, ect, but he changes clubs nearly every year or two since leaving Newcastle. Do clubs see him as a short-term fix until their preferred #9 comes along, or is it more Danny choosing to leave every time? Like he's got itchy feet or something? Does he have an attitude that makes clubs not want to re-sign him? Or does he just want to see the world, one club at a time?!

The story is he's not very good.

I'm hanging out for tigers, titans, dragons and dolphins tomorrow to give me some hope now.
