The 1st 2 games i think the opposition kind of beat themselves as much as we beat them, both opposition sides had completion % is the 60s and we scored a few tries in both games directly from opposition errors. Watching the dogs today, they might not have the cattle but they actually aren't afraid to try things, we on the otherhand will keep trying to same thing 100 times even if he didn't work the previous 99 times

I didn’t watch the Broncos game, but it seems Zac Hosking went pretty well?
It was a tradesman like performance. He kept pushing up around the ball and took plenty of carries. Physically he struggled to assert himself and there were a few occassions where he got manhandled or drilled but he kept battling through the 80 minutes.

There were a couple of blemishes where he should have passed or he lost the ball trying to keep pace with Mam but I thought he was one of the best on field.

I was happy when the Broncos offered him a train and trial. It was the type of deal Melbourne have offered so many Queensland Cup/NSW Cup players and gotten tremendous value out of. I don't know if he'll line up for many more games but he did the jersey proud this afternoon.

Thanks. Sounds like he did himself proud. Good on him.

Joey copping shit for being unprofessional in the post-game analysis - which he was. And I couldn't love him any more for it. The man hates losing more than anyone. 2005 was the last time NSW won a decider in QLD.
That’s why he is the GOAT, passion.

Cross left 12 years and 5 coaches ago. Not sure how relevant his opinion is.
I guess the point is he saw those things back then and a lot of fans question whether things are like that currently. He said he's good mates with AOB too, so whether he's dropping info without directly saying so, who knows.

If you compare us to the storm during that period it's chalk and cheese, we were a basket case that no one wanted to play for and couldn't even afford proper training facilities, nutritionists and other support staff whereas the Storm were fielding a side $5 million over the cap. The coaching staff from that period included Brian Smith and Trent Robinson for what it's worth

You must listen to the Ben Cross interview with Toohey on his podcast. Absolutely cuts to the chase on the issues at the club. Crossy tried to bring accountability to other players and got pulled up on it. By none other than Smithy! Surprised me.
