Around the Grounds

I heard they're missing 4 of their top front rowers. At least they have a reasonable excuse and something to look forward to when those injured return.
Knights were missing Gagai, Marzhew, Croker as well as 2 of their middles having underdone off seasons in Elliot and Hetherington

Not saying we weren't worse but we weren't exactly full strength either

Marzhew wasn't getting picked if he was fit so he doesn't count, and croker would have been struggling getting on the bench ahead of Elliott/hetho/Leo too.

With the (dumb) way aob picked his bench gags was really the only out.

Not sure i agree with that mate but also not gonna argue with it

100% the bench was an issue. Starting the Safs together is a mistake imo. Really need one coming off the bench with probably Hetherington starting

Hopfully we see a different rotation for rd2 now that Elliot and Hetherington have had a bit of game time. They looked really underdone

The Dolphins don't look any worse than us with the ball - and don't have blokes that have been playing together for years like we do. Actually i'd say they're quite a bit more enterprising with the ball than we are. They're sloppy, but they're trying much more and have far more variation in their play.

Classic Bennett team. They're doing some simple things and attempting them to the best of their abilities and with effort.

That'll be how we lose to them, because they will fighting harder to win the little things.

To be honest, the Warriors, much like the Dolphins are at the moment, were playing with a lot of emotion due to the occasion.

Hopefully next week we wake the hell up.. I'm not holding my breath though

Yeah we can cross the Dolphins off.

Based on Rd1 only, Dogs have been the only worse team than us. Roosters were awful but well we know that won't last. Titans might give us a run for our money. Have to wait until next week to see how bad the Dragons are.

I think I'm the only one rating the Titans this year. I think Foran will be a big plus for them and will steer and lead them around nicely. Fermor is a solid loss though.

Watching the Dolphins today is how I wished the Knights play. Just purely running and tackling hard for 80 minutes with bits of footy inbetween.

Sounds so simple but seems like a mammoth task for us.
