Around the Grounds

The Broncs move to 22 points. Ahead of us. Up to 11th. The absolute essential thing for tomorrow is that we need to win by 9 points or more to leapfrog the Titans and Raiders. Currently we are -105. The Titans -98 and the Raiders -97. we are relying on the Dogs to knock the Dragons off tonight by 16. Drags are currently -90. So pray that score line of 26-10
Stays as is. I know. It is convoluted. So if my very average maths is right we have a good mathematical chance If we can start winning. Games by decent margins. I cannot see it but it is an outside chance. The closeness of the F and A will be a discussion point between all the sides on the 22-26 points. It makes for exciting finish to the year. The advantage of playing later in The week now becomes a factor too. Cos it will define whether they openly attack or choose to defend their way to the two points knowing how close each side is.

If these side all keep winning then it will be a cracker final few weeks. It almost resembles a relegation battle.

Someone will fall. And two pts Separates us all. It is actually incredible how close it is.
It could in theory be us vs the Dolphins for the final Spot on Old Boys Day! Can you imagine how good that game would be:
You guys are really over thinking this as if it matters lol

Clifford opening five minutes include a perfectly timed shot on Timoko which he still has yet to recover from, a line break and backing it up to score: He will finish his career as a complete enigma.

I know some people aren't interested any more but here's a cheering guide for this weekend to give us the best chance of making the 8:

Tigers/Sea Eagles - doesn't matter
Warriors/Bulldogs - doesn't matter
Broncos/Eels - Eels
Raiders/Panthers - Panthers
Storm/Dolphins - Storm
Titans/Roosters - almost irrelevant, but Roosters
Dragons/Sharks - most important after our game - Sharks

Trying to get me to cheer the Storm, the Roosters and the Panthers all in one weekend? You're driving an insanely hard bargain here.

Well you could always cheer for the opposite set of results, that combination is what's known as the "2027 clause" lol.

I suppose when you look at it that way, it's a win/win situation?

Weird that it doesn't feel much like winning.

Its pretty much all entirely dependent on the Dragons, and I reckon they're a good shot at beating Sharks this weekend.

No matter how many ways I do the ladder predictor I can’t realistically see us finishing below 12th sadly.

We’re not even good at being shit. Such a mid club.

Dragons are specials to beat the sharks.

Yeah and even if they don’t (I think they will, Sharks have been average and usually get worse the closer we get to finals), they’ll 100% beat Raiders or Eels who are both somehow worse than us.

Essentially yes but you also need the other contenders to fall away, especially the Broncos who are a good chance of going 3/3 also.

Broncos go 3/3? I reckon they're a good chance to go 1/3, and wouldn't be surprised at 0/3. They have Eels tonight then Dolphins and Storm. Walsh is out and they're struggling already.

I'm assuming the Storm will have the minor premiership comfortably wrapped up by the last round and will rest a bunch.
