No. Next question.

Dummy spit is such an emotional response. They lost and now can't make it so they're doing what is best for their team.

understand this if we were In 8 and no chance to drop out I would want players rested, medically assessed, trained in preparation for what we want to achieve, Grand Final Win.
Wouldn’t want the opposition to be given a easy qualification to the 8

Players are rested throughout t the season that might occasionally result in a loss, it’s part of the season that’s aim is to win the Grand Final.
If you dont win the Grand Final you are runners up or wooden spooners

Had a quick read through the Top 100 highest paid players in the comp.

We have 6 players on the list, and that drops to 4 next year when Brailey, Hastings and KPP goes and Brown joins us. Correct me if we have anyone getting a big pay boost next year ($600K plus to make it on the list).

It highlights how important developing juniors are for us - particularly if we insist on not using third party payments like other clubs).

It also suggests that Brown isn’t having that big an impact on the salary cap - Brailey, Hastings and KPP takes up around $2.4M of the cap, Brown gets $1.3M. Guys like Lucas and Sharpe would be getting pay increases - and rightfully so.

I originally looked at the list and thought how is our cap in such a mess? However not many other clubs have many more than us on the list - Dolphins have 8, Dragons have 7. The Raiders have 4 players on the list - should that be our aspiration?

For what it's worth, that list is a blind dart throw.

So the Spoon race equation is now simple. Tigers beat the Titans and we escape. Titans win and we have to beat the Eels.

Chris Randall turning into SBW trying to give us the Spoon!

Next week is going to be intense. If we can't turn up in a Spoon game...

Yeah. If the players were tanking to get the club to replace the coach (not saying they were, but if), then that doesn't explain today's performance. If they can't play for pride and to try avoiding coming last, then there's seriously something wrong.

I’d be more confident of Tigers beating Titans if it wasn’t being played on the Gold Coast.
It would be interesting if, in an alternate reality, we could see the difference in our performance next week depending on the Titans result.
