NIGHT 5 RESULTS
5th Test
Looks like Im riding solo now that that treacherous Shane Warne is out of the picture. This could be a very important match
In an early morning nets session, Shane Watson began to throw down some practice balls at Phil Hughes. Phil had been a solid member of the team, so the side almost went into meltdown when Watto launched one right at his head. Luckily, the great captain he is, Clarkey threw his bat into the path of the ball and saved the day. No Aussies were dying on his watch, at least not today.
Didgi is NOT dead. He is Phil Hughes, Ashes aligned Australian middle order right-handed batsman
In another set of nets, James Pattinson desperately wanted to get after Ed Cowan. Michael Clarke refused, smelling something sinister. He said Patto could bowl to Ed if he could get the captain out. Luckily for the aussies, he couldnt.
Monk is NOT dead. He is Ed Cowan, Ashes aligned Australian top order left-handed batsman
Meanwhile, over at the English nets, Swann was preparing for the game with KP. Although there was no malice in any of his balls, KP took it as an opportunity. He smacked one back at him as hard as he could, nailing him flush in the face and taking him out. He hid the body in a dumpster and off to the game he went.
DB is dead. He was Graeme Swann, Ashes aligned English right-arm off-spinner
Day 1
Australia ripped through the English top order on the first day. After lunch, Stuart Broad ambled to the crease half-heartedly. Pattinson was fired up as usual, and gave Broady the trademark Beamer.
