Pretty sound advice above.

Play to your strengths. Me? I'm not much to look at, but I'm witty. If a girl likes witty, that's my in.

If she doesn't like witty, she's probably a vegetable.

Together, we would form a whole man (like that Jerry & George routine from Seinfeld) as girls respond more to my looks than my wit, charm, whatever you wanna call it.

See. The talking bit I struggle with.

And the smiling.

you would be surprised..

99% of (straight) men spend their lives chasing after women and having to make the first move. the other 1% are the matt coopers of the world who can just point at a girl (or any dragons fan) and she'll come over and do whatever they want.

so for the 99%, to have someone come up to them and start doing the talking makes a huge difference.. and you'll be surprised how receptive people will be..

you know how it feels when someone shows an interest in you, blokes get exactly the same reaction when they get interest show in them..

Possibly even moreso, since it's not a super common occurrence. I'm always gobsmacked when a girl likes me enough to make the first move.

I usually just think they're the wingman while their friend hits on my friend, really.

whilst the concept of a wingman is great, i think you'll find that it's more of a myth than a reality..

yes most guys will go help out a friend in a group situation, but the traditional 'wingman' that is portrayed is not that common..

hell i know from my prior experiences me and my mates would only go help out each other if we though her friend looked cute..

if she was surrounded by types we didn't like, we'd wish him the best in his endeavours..

Yeah, 99% of guys are f**king shit at being wingmen. They might start with the best of intentions, but guys like attention and they're easily distracted.

The only good wingmen are women or gay guys. No agenda.

Woah, I'm a great wingman. Getting the lads in is nearly as good as getting some yourself.

I'm a better wingman to my chick friends though

How does that work ?

You flirt with ugly guys so your chick friends can swoop in and grab the hottie ?

I'm rubbish at being wingman for my lady friends, but I am a top quality wingman to guys. True story.
