So, As we all know FFB is the best place for advice so ask away.

I'll start. Do you people honestly think guys/girls can just be friends or is that a bunch of rubbish due to sexual escalation?

I've got female friends I am very close with who I haven't f**ked. I would consider f**king some of them, but there's no tension there and I don't really aspire to inject any by injecting them.

Female friends exist but IMO are generally much less solid than male friends. As in you can't really count on them as much, they will drift closer and further apart from you, etc.

The majority of my friends have tendency to be unreliable it's not a male/female thing, they cancel plans last minute, they show up late to plans without warning, they try to manipulate me into doing things I don't want to, some of the males think it's appropriate to expect sex in return for favours,

Before people come out and say maybe I am a bad friend, I am not, I would literally throw myself in front of a loaded gun to protect my mates, I am never late, I help them when they need it, I compliment them, I am there for them and yet they still take me for granted and let me down all the time. Half of them didn't even come out for my birthday and when I won money on my b'day I had to buy them drinks!

Fair few female friends.
Had a massive crush on one of them, got nowhere, not really close anymore...it would be a stretch to say we're still friends.
Dated another for a while, things were.. interesting.. for a while. We're still good friends, somehow.

Don't think I'd go down that path again though. Lesson learned.

I've had two separate friendships ruined by the unrequited love thing. One of them - a high school crush - did come back onto the scene a few years later (post Uni) and we hooked up once. She's now married with a kid.

The second, a cute American girl I met in Korea, I just basically told her it was date me or stop leading me on. She decided to stop leading me on and we basically stopped talking :crazy:

I lost it to my best friend in high school. Our friendship ended that night and to this day he will avoid me. I tried several times to fix what ever broke, with no response.

Still sucks 8 odd years later.
