Who will win, what do we think the score will be? Will there be a decent crowd?

Worth noting that this Thread is also for discussion on the Juniors & Women's Test matches as well.

Wouldn't be too surprised to see the kiwis win or get very close, despite injuries it's still a pretty good side. People seem to forget Maguire is the coach now, not Kidwell.

Interesting matchup with so many big names missing for both sides. I wouldn’t be surprised either way if NZ won or Australia won. Should be a good close game but I’ll let my heart rule my head and say NZ will win by 4.

The Jillaroos and junior kangaroos will also win. As for the crowd I’ll go with a solid if not disappointing 16,500.

Also quite
On the crowd watch front, @yakstorm - Tickets that were previously sold as Category A in Bays 30/31; 14/13 (these are the central bays on both Lower Grandstands) are now being sold as Category B. That is half price.

Can you imagine having paid a few weeks ago, or even last - and now they are 50% off?

Crowd looks like 15,000 - and that would be lucky.

Check it our here: http://premier.ticketek.co.nz/events/KIWISKAN18/venues/AES/performances/EALZ2018901/tickets
sounds like they’ve been on the blower to the geniuses at the RFL.

I've been waiting for this thread so I could whinge - my favourite pastime - about Kaufusi & McGuire getting starts over the Friz & Jake Turbo.

McGuire is Martin Lang in drag.

Give me Jake's footwork and ball playing ability any day. I'd even give Cam Murray or Boo Radley a start over McGuire at lock.

Very excited about the new look centre paring of Manu and Marsters. 2 excellent young players who could be there for the next decade or so unless the kiwis unearth a few more gun centres.

Radley qualifies as a Pom i think from what I read somewhere. Hmmmmm.

McGuire seems to have a knack of playing every Test, will probably play until he retires?

Can’t see Radley ever picking England unless he hasn’t played for the kangaroos or NSW by the time he’s in his mid 20’s. Plus we’ve got plenty of homegrown talented backrowers to pick from

Aaron Woods lol - sorry, I just had to get that off my chest.

Kiwis to win in a (very close and competitive) game.

Aussies lack the class of all those great Queenslanders now.

Teddy or Cook might be able to help us out of the shit.

And again, Aaron Woods lol smh; Mal you are a f**king genius, don't ever change...

Can't wait for this game. Will be interesting to see how Australia go without Smith/Thurston and Cronk pulling the strings.

I can't help but believe Mal is to close to the Queensland contingent to be national coach and selector. Those 2 selections are a total joke.

If they lose, blame the losing nsw culture, the rest are usually winners the last decade and a half

Kaufusi isn't a bad selection. He's had a good year. But.

Friz is the best right edge forward in the world and is extremely unlucky.

Cam Murray would be good to have around for quick play the balls for Cook to jump on. But I think that's what Woods is for.

Australia should win. More skill in the forward pack and the left edge of Keary, Cordner and Mitchell (up against Manu..) is there so there will be a threat there.

Jurbo, Turbo, Cook, Tedesco and Holmes are going to exploit behind the ruck later in the game. If NZ get lazy, they'll leak points.

NZ always struggle at the start of campaigns too.

Should be good. Very young teams.

I'm not confident of a NZ win. I want to be - we have a decent pack as per usual but it depends on our halves and as talented as Smith is he's been only a bit player this year.

We started so well in Denver and then fell to pieces so hopefully we can start well and continue on this weekend. Be awesome to win to wipe off the stench of the Kidwell coaching era (I feel it bit sorry for him as his reputation is completely tarnished now and his playing one doesn't deserve it).
