Even if it's true, I'd be surprised it will go ahead considering the increase in rep match payments.

And I'd be amazed if it's 2015. I'd imagine it would be the year before the world cup, 2016. That's the year they've always wanted off.

theres already contracts in place,signed by the ARLC, to play a 4nations in 2016 so they can't have that year off...

also the union bullied NZ out of hosting england for a tour in 2012....can see the same happening to france now who are due to tour nz in 2015.....

I don't know why you get so worked up over it. The players are looking out for themselves above promoting the game. They are in a strong enough position to do this. So they do it.

It's just bargaining. They're jostling for position.

Let them play it out. Either some test matches won't be played or players get paid some more.

The only players that won't want to play are the regular rep players who don't need an extra $50k...the pricks.

You have no idea.
Australia have almost been pushing the horse and cart solo for a while now.
The NRL has a whole week dedicated to representative competition and Australia play the most test matches of any current rugby league playing nation (may be matched by NZ).

England haven't moved their asses since they lost in the semi-final last year.
I realize that their neighbors are below par, but NZ is well below the level of Aus and matches between us and them still go ahead.

England really needs to develop local tithes, Australia and New Zealand can't be the only port of calls for whenever they feel like playing a test match.

What like England inventing a team of overseas has beens and fringe players and calling them the "EXILES" and dressing them in Robes and suggesting some Medieval theme?:lol:

Even the busted Bum "Exiles" won 2 from 4 with crowds of 14k, 11k, 8k and 8k if you can believe those numbers.

They could have just played their neighbour France and tried to build that Country into what it could be.
Or Maybe Wales, or Scotland or Ireland?

Its easier to blame Australia for not showing up or building up the "Pacific Islands" I guess.

The fact that France has done so badly at Test level in the last decade with a team in the ESL says more about the game in England than anything else.

English Leagues main headlines are about Clubs going bankrupt or barely hanging on as they wait for new Stadiums for the last 20 years in small Towns that have no chance of ever filling them.

Best look to your own backyard before worrying about what a successful Comp is doing.

Maybe Aussies don't rate England based on their performance in the last two lifetimes?

france actually pulled out of playing mid season tests against us....and playing the exiles was better than wacking france,wales by 50+

between england & england knights ( our 2nd team) we've played all these nations several times in the past few years

im glad you agree....when you consider the nations you think we haven't been building up have played around 50 tests between them since 2008...its very easy to blame australia for not building up the pacific island....

Northern Hemisphere internationals are nothing more than domestic supplements within the schengen zone.
They are good, but nothing spectacular in terms of competetive progress. They are more or less a domestic excercise with those playing unlikely to be picked as a nations best XIII including heritage and overseas players.
Southern hemisphere internationals are the full deal, with nations recruiting full strength (or as close to without the assistance of Super League players) sides to play out tournaments and tests with all the bells and whistles.
The former is good for local growth and rewarding domestic achievement, the later tries to create as high quality competition as possible to try and add to the credibility of international rugby league.
Both are useful, and both hemispheres should be trying to incorporate the other (even if only a little).

Having said that, The Southern Hemisphere style is takes much more heavy lifting and investment than the current northern hemisphere modus operendi.
