If I was Strauss I would just keep Australia bowling all day and not declare. There is not enough time for a result - but there is plenty of time to get his batters confidence up.

With our heads down like they are I can see us folding like a cheap deck chair if a bit of pressure was put on us. 260 or so with 45 overs could really see us struggling. Swan hitting the the cracks with catchers around the bat could really make a mess.
