I understand Bowen wasn't going to be selected as Thursty was out however I thought he might have atleast got a spot on the bench - Gidley was useless off the bench in all Origin games.

The rest of the players look great,I really look forward to Bird being at 5/8 with the aggression he brings.

Having Cronk at halfback only makes sense for Slater being there. Slaters kick returns alone would put him in the team over Stewart alone.

Swap Kite for Price. Kite isn't in the same league as Price.

mate im one of his biggest fans, but yes he would be. smith plays for 80 minutes, and is a better player than farah at the moment. farah is a hooker, nothing else, he would be wasting a spot on the bench in place of a utility. his time will come, but he is just behind smith and buderus at the moment.

Slater is a fullback.
He was picked as winger before in origin and was hammered.
QLD have won the past 2 series, they wont be messing with a winning side...regardless if they win by 1 or 30.

Anyway, who could usurp Smith as hooker? He's an 80 minute player as well. Farah, as much as I like him, will have to serve his Origin dues.

I'm thinking that Inglis on the wing is a waste, after last night put him at pivot, and let Bird come off the bench. There are some coaches favorites - Gasnier and Mason, and blooky Kite - if he's a top 3 prop in the game then Peachey's Norwegian.
