Missing ... Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose has gone AWOL, angering music studio bosses / AP

DESPITE the release of their long-awaited album Chinese Democracy, eccentric Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose is reported to have gone AWOL.

Rose has been missing for two months.
The rocker has infuriated bosses at record label Geffen after disappearing without promoting the band’s long-awaited album Chinese Democracy, which was released last week 15 years after the last Guns N’ Roses LP.
Listen to Chinese Democracy in full at MySpace.
A source told Britain’s The Sun: “People have been trying to contact Axl for two months and he’s completely AWOL.
“It is frustrating because the album would have had a much better chance of going to number one if he had only been prepared to show his face.

“You would have thought after spending all those years on an album you might do a few weeks of promotion.
“Everyone knows Axl is a bit of a maverick genius and won’t do anything he doesn’t want to.”
Chinese Democracy has only made it to No. 3 on the Australian charts, beaten by Pink's Funhouse at No. 1 and Kings of Leon's Only By the Night at No. 2.
Guns N' Roses was beaten to the number one spot in the UK album charts by The Killers’ Day and Age, which sold 200,000 copies - nearly twice as many as Rose’s record, which is rumoured to have cost $13 million, making it the most expensive ever album.
So far, Chinese Democracy has only gone to number one in Brazil and Finland.
It has been claimed Rose’s disappearance could be due to him entering into secret talks to reform the classic line-up of the band.
Former guitarist and songwriter Izzy Stradlin has performed as a guest star with the band at shows in 2004 and 2006, and ex-lead guitarist Slash has admitted he likes Chinese Democracy.
The fate of Slash’s new band Velvet Revolver hangs in the balance after they were dropped from their record label.

Most likely the Chinese secret police have him in custody for being part of the "anti-China conspiracy".

yeah, overrated ... did i just hurt feelings? their greatest hits cd is effectively Appetite for Destruction

Oh believe me you haven't hurt my feelings nor millions of others:lol:

They're one of the greatest rock groups ever, they were the biggest group in the world at one stage, had countless hits, extremely influenential ( and still are), and even though it really isn't Gunners anymore, they still generate huge publicity and influence.

Who would you rather Snoop a loop?

That would depend on what you have to say, Ron.

I've pretty much said what i have too, you're the one arguing they're overrated, they're an influential group and were very succesful ( still are regardless), actually probably the most succesful rock group in the past 20 years even though after AFD only released 4 more albums with the core of the original group.

Guns N' Roses has sold an estimated 100 million albums worldwide,[1][2][3], including over 42 million in the United States.[4] The band's 1987 major label debut album Appetite for Destruction has sold in excess of 28 million copies and reached number one on the United States Billboard 200. In addition, the album charted three Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including "Sweet Child o' Mine" which reached number one.[5] The 1991 albums Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II debuted on the two highest spots on the Billboard 200 and have sold a combined 14 million copies in the United States alone. After over a decade of work, the band released their follow-up album, Chinese Democracy, in 2008.

not bad for a rock group, list me other 'rock groups' with similar sales and success.

Funny hey, AFD isn't my favourite album, never has, Use your Illusion 1 is argurably there greatest work imo, next is the 2nd album to it then appetite, have you listen to these albums? you honestly think they're overrated? record sales suggest otherwise...

Your right i shouldn't have brought up other sh*t, fair enough.
