I think Axl is an utter douche bag.

But you can't deny he has a talent for song writing and composure.

Yes he has a "unique" voice but that just added to the bands character.

I'll even go out on a limb and say that I didn't mind some of the stuff on Chinese Democracy. I kind of wish he wouldn't use the Guns N Roses tag though. It's nothing like GNR.

You Could Be Mine is a f**king awesome song.

Civil War is a pretty good song imo. That album had a real mix of styles though and showed there was infighting in what kind of direction to take it. I'm not a huge rock ballad kind of fan but I do love November Rain and even more Estranged. And then Locamotive, Coma and Breakdown are all quite cool songs musically. But you're right there is some pretty poor songs on there making up the space purely because its a massive double album.

Agreed to an extent, but then i don't know how well Adler would have performed on songs like N Rain, Estranged and Coma.

Chinese Democracy was actually a very good album imo but was never gonna get a good chance in the media or casual listener. First off the length of time it took to get it out meant that everyone expected some absolutle masterpiece and then since Axl was releasing it under GNR with no Slash people were gonna dismiss it and trash it because of that. If you actually give it a listen, pretty good album imo. Well I like a majority of it anyway. Plus it has Buckethead on it who can do some ridiculous shit.

GNR have recorded some of the worst covers EVER and all of them were ruined by Axl.
