This backline debate is interesting to say the least. Lots of permutations that everyone will or wont be happy with.

For me we have to look at the contenders for our backline in 2019:

Dufty, Lafai, Aitken, Lomax, Periera, Pearson, Ravalawa, Hunt, Widdop, Field, Mann (but i think he will go) and maybe 1 of Hayne, Norman or someone and not including the possibility of one or more of the DS players being promoted.

11 possibly 12 candidates for 6 positions.

The only certainties for mine are the halves, that being Hunt and Widdop. The rest is up in the air and there is a case for all or none of the above to play in any position.

I think the next week will tell us a lot about the make-up.

I'd let Aitken go elsewhere and put Kurt Mann on the wing. He's played (well) there before, is versatile if injury strikes.
