Injuries with Star players,I'd love to have that problem. You gusy still had a far superior side on paper but I will admit that late changes played a part for sure.
A team thou with Cooper,Gasnier,Head(not a star but is a great little half),Timmins,Bailey,Ryles,Simms,Riddell and Kite(same as head except the half part) is nothing to be sneezed at.We won the game on our defence, which is unbelievable after the last couple of years. Both sides were dis jointed in attack but the boys put in old style and come away with the points.

fish, we did have a lot of disruptions during the week but the fact is, Manly played to win and defended gallantly. They never looked like losing imo and Saints were simply out-played on both sides of the ruck.

Thanks willow,I think the banter with the Sharks supporters may have clouded somes opinions......Our boys played above their abilities in defence(I'm still not happy with our attack) and the Dragons won't play an attacking game like that again this year.Bad luck on the loss but we needed the win more and played accordingly,in saying that the Drags are still in for a good year.

Yeah full credit to Manly yesterday, they wanted it and it shows that any team can produce the goods on the day, makes for a healthy competition.

Our attack was non existent and the backs werent deep again.

Ive decided that as Im plunging money each week on us to win the comp, that yesterdays performance just improves my odds this week. I need to find a positive somewhere......

There aernt any positives  . Be interesting to see how Dragons go against the Bulldogs this week, seeings both come off a loss. This will be a true test to see if Dragons are a Premiership contender :D .

Mmmm, an interesting thought.

However, what is even more interesting is the Sharks v Roosters after both teams have come off wins.

This will be a true test to see if the Sharks deserve to be in the NRL.

If you thought the Mighty Dragons gave you a touch up, I reckon the Chooks will put 50 on you.

St. George-Illawarra shouldn't be in the NRL after their meek display against Manly. No heart. No pride.

Multiply that Dragons performance against Manly by 38 years & you'll begin touching on where The Scum have been coming from

How is it a true test?? Roosters would beat any side, including you, well, they already have havent they. Of course there is a high probability we will lose so no, if we lose it will not be a true test! You know what was a true test, last week for the Dragons, well, we all know how that went (21 - 10)

If anything was a true test, then surely it was against a supposed Bogey team at a supposed Bogey ground, against The Scum...

What was the score, again, fool??

How did you's back up from that game? Beaten by eagles  . Even we could thrash them! I dont deny the Dragons dominanted us, and well done, but they were Glimpses of form which I doubt will re-appear this year for your side. A quote comes to mind 'You may have won the battle but you havent won the war'! Dragons premiership hopes are down the s**t shute.

SATW you seriously are looking like the bigest fool of a sour grape....go back to your own forum, even most of your fellow sharks fans have gotten over losing , nay getting belted by the Dragons, its time you followed suit.

Nah, I like having SATW here. If you're having a shocker at work, or whatever, you just log on & find SATW's latest post. The sheer stupidity puts a smile on your face in no time...

Glad to help. However, I would change on your previous post "If you're having a shocker at work, or whatever" to if your teams having a shocker against last place. That seems better doesnt it? And further more I doubt whether I am a fool of a sour grape. My last post had nothing to do with that, it was reffering to your side, un-related to our loss. I do however know of some sour grapes, the St George supporter base who still refer to their win against us in the face of a loss to the Eagles, especially sour when considering prior to and after the match against us all that was heard was 'we will win premiership', 'we are consistent' etc etc.

Glad to see you dont understand anything SATW...otherwise we might have to worry about you....your sour grapes is over the Dragons whipping the Sharks...so now whenever the Dragons lose, you are going to come in here and try take out your frustration over your teams inability to beat a team that as you like to see it...cant beat the team coming last....that doesnt say much for the Sharks now does it...you guys must REALLY be crap.

Yes I dont understand  . In other posts I have said that the Dragons beat us and that they dominated us, so no Im not sour I admit our loss to a better side on the Day and really dont care, we are playing well now rolling Melbourne for the first time in a night game at Melbourne in 4 years. About how I am coming here to knock you's on your loss to the Eagles, I would have done that whether we beat yous or not, so that aint 'sour grapes', that is just knocking a s**ty cub like yours because they lost to a side which in previous weeks couldnt threaten an U/10's side. About us being 'really crap', no we beat the eagles, and yes we lost to you's only because you's played extrememly well, now you have choked. Cant wait for the Bulldogs game, hope its a blow-out in favour of Buldogs.

Don't worry SATW, the Drags supporters are just on edge at the moment as those wins earlier this year were just a false dawn. :)

Interesting comments Sullyfan. Presumably if Saints are edge for winning a few games, the Scum supporters must be in wrist slashing territory.
