Bands you never got to see

The RATM thread got me thinking - which band would you have loved to have seen live that, for whatever reason, you will never have the chance to.

For me it's Alice in Chains.

I was devastated when I heard that Layne had died.

The greatest grunge band of all time would have been awesome to see.

I have been lucky enough to see most of my modern day favourites.
however...realistically
Red Kross .
Pavement.
Dinosaur Jnr ( I may have seen them at a messy big day out though )
Jeff Buckley

unrealistically ...
The Beatles
the Dead Kennedys with Jello
The Carpenters
Pink Floyd at their peak with Roger Waters
Led Zep

..and I am still holding a little bit of hope for the one and only Jimmy Buffet.

C'mon Jimmy get down here!

Agree that Pink Floyd, Zep's and Beatles would have been pretty cool as well mate. Though no one really heard the beatles live anyway apparently, so we probably didnt miss too much. LOL...

I would have liked to have seen Metallica , Oils, and sh*t, There are a few actually. Would have liked to have seen U2 and Queen as well.

the beatles at the Cavern would have been pretty damn good regardless of the sound quality.

Queen would of been good.

yep they used little 50 watt VOX amps.
The cavern probably only held a coupe of hundred people so you may have heard them there.
In those big stadium gigs you wouldn't have heard them at all.

Still it would of been an experience to witness Beatlemania.

Guns N Roses (the original not axls latest)
Van Halen (Roth or Hager, fingers crossed for Roth but in their peak would have been better)
Metallica (before they had sex changes, had tickets once but sold them, big mistake)
Aerosmith would have been cool

Faith No More. I was 12 when they came here for the last time, and at that stage, was too young to know who they were.

And of course a lot of older bands, but FNM is the big one.

Queen.

I would also love to see Brian May live too. When he last toured in November 1998 I was absolutely devastated - I was 6months too young to be allowed into the club he was playing here in Perth. It still hurts that I missed it.

Killswitch Engage. Had the chance to see them, but something came up and I couldn't go. And God knows when they'll come back.

Also, I was really looking forward to watching Irrelevant play as a warm-up for One Dollar Short...:fist:
