Barba sacked by Cowboys

You should try seeing with your eyes open.

The ESL and NRL have had an agreement for some time now, where both comps honour the penalties made by the other.
You should try not putting your finger up your ass before you type.

Suspensions are carried over...deregistrations sometimes have not been carried over.

I get that you are the low end of the intellectual spectrum, but you still aren’t getting the point. The character reference for Greg Inglis wasn’t due to the lack of relative seriousness of drink driving and speeding in Todd Greenberg’s eyes. It was due to Greenberg’s support of Greg Inglis, the person he is and the values he lives by, ergo his character. Therefore his past domestic assault incident is very much relevant. I trust Greenberg’s support has nothing to do with Greg Inglis being in a relationship with an NRL staffer.

I will let the mods take whatever necessary action for your defamatory comment on Jake Friend. Not only was he found not guilty of the incident surrounding Morrow’s daughter as CCTV footage showed that he wasn’t in the vicinity of the incident, he was awarded costs by the judge. Run along now little man.

And that can go with Friend abusing cops and being done for DUI.

Run on genius.

The million dollar question is; Why take this stance now, on Barba, and not on the others who've committed similar crimes this off season? Why single out just 1 bloke? And I seriously think he needs to publically address the GI reference - that is a clear double standard.

Weak, re-active leadership. Todd has always been very re-active to the media.

What happens to guys like Zane Tetevano who went to jail for bashing his girlfriend, is he now banned or does he survive because its a few years old?

It might have something to do with who the player plays for too.

So you've got nothing but having a bitch because the NRL gave a reference to one of its employees.who captained his state and country
Absolute dribble from the dribble master.

The NRL CEO shouldn't have given a reference to a player with a history of DV; especially now when the issue of DV within the NRL is at its height.

If you can't understand that then I can't help you.

It would most likely hold up. There is plenty of similar precedent
.
For example; a teacher is dismissed from a school (their direct employer) for committing a criminal offence against a pupil. Let's just say he punched a girl. The education department then deregisters said teacher. 100% legit
Nothing stopping the teacher from trying to get a gig with a Private school (Rugby Union), or a Catholic school (let's say cricket). He could even try and get a teaching gig in England - if he could get a visa with a criminal record - but the Department for Education (RFL) would probably want a reference check from Education NSW (NRL) and that would not end well...

Yeah but that teacher is clearly a physical danger to his/her stakeholders (the students) and clearly shouldn't be teaching. It would be the same situation for sex offenders.

As far as we know, Ben Barba isn't a danger to anyone he regularly associates with through his work (playing rugby league) so they are different situations. Not saying I want the bloke to play again but it would be interesting if a club wanted him and they took it to court.

Jake Friend was sacked at the end of 2009 and worked in a sandwich shop for 6 months.

He then returned to footy in mid 2010 and hasn't put a foot wrong since.

Do you always tell half the story?

Violence against women is ok when its happening in isolated incidents, but when its happening in bunches its unforgiveable, not in our game! Lol what a joke.

This is the issue with the NRL, there are a few wife bashers running around in the game so if they have now drawn a line in the sand they should stick to it for all cases ... but they wont.

I bet he will come up with a nice statement on white ribbon round that implies he and the NRL actually care about stopping violence against women more than they care about bad headlines.

The big four banks have more integrity than the NRL.

If you can’t understand how Greenberg is at fault here you have your head up your ass.
None of the reports have stated Greenberg was even in Queensland when this happened, let alone in a casino in Tonwsville.

Stop deflecting. Only one person did the wrong thing here, and it ain't Todd.

My argument is he could have done things differently in 2013 and that may have prevented this case. ive made this point previously and Timmah deletes my posts.
And my argument is why not chastise former CEO's and go further back for having not done anything.

What the hell? You are creating your own argument to respond too. I am criticising his inconsistent and re-active leadership, if that is too complicated for you too understand then just ignore me.
