Barba to Toulon?

https://au.sports.yahoo.com/league/a/34308303/toulon-announce-shock-signing-of-ben-barba/#page1

French rugby side Toulon have announced that troubled NRL star Ben Barba will join the club for the rest of the season.

Barba was sacked by the NRL's Cronulla Sharks when he received a positive drug test in the weeks after the 2016 grand final victory.

The 27-year-old re-signed with the Sharks two weeks ago but is under a ban from the NRL.

Toulon said he should arrive in France in the coming days and could play in their next match.

Last game May 6. First NRL game May 18. Hope he doesn't get himself injured. Shocked the Sharks would agree to this.

The NRL haven't registered his new contract from 2 weeks ago?
If they had registered it he would not have been allowed to go, would he?
I dont think he'll be back.

Why the panic? His rugby contract finishes 12 days before his suspension is lifted.
Settle down.

Hang on, isnt his suspension from the time he is registered with an NRL club?
He is not registered with us yet, if he was he would not be allowed to play rugby.
Does this mean he cant register with us until his rugby club commitments have finished, and then does his suspension start?
I'm just thinking aloud here....
If anyone can clarify this please do

Get a grip people.

lthough the Toulon deal will allow the former Dally M medallist to continue his career while serving his rugby league suspension. The NRL has no jurisdiction over other global sporting organisations.

Toulons final game of the season is May 6, his suspension is lifted June 18.
