Good luck to him. Not sure how he will go but can't blame him. NRL attitude inconsistent as always - on one hand you've got barba in the wrong but trying to make good and then you've got James Roberts.... in the wrong and not really trying.

Wot, Me Worry.

I am with CB4on this one. The 'Wisemen' at the NRL - you know the blokes, the ones that couldn't find Andrew Gee, well that won't let Benny train with us, play with us, or register his contract.

Benny is off on a Guest Appearance with the Frog Kick and Chase till May.

He will be back and after a few rounds no one will notice or say anything.

Would it have been that hard for the NRL to allow Barba to train with the team, I wonder why he took the Toulon offer...

Rothfields article in the Tele makes mention of it really coming down to $$$ and a consistent income stream as the NRL were dragging their heels.

Typical

I wonder if Bennys Frog contract has a get out claus should his NRL career be permitted to restart (eventually)

Not sure how his suspension will run while he is over there? Probably come back with a full suspension to serve. Val must be happy.

I can't see how this will work out for us at all.

Surely the NRL won't allow him to be contracted to us and also to Toulon to serve his suspension and continue playing elsewhere.

& rightly so.

I totally disagree that he was even drug tested 3 days into his holidays but he has to suck it up.

This is crazy!

Simple.... he isn't contracted yet to the club. Hasn't been registered.

How can they 'allow' anything?

Ben can do what he wants.

Unless this is a ploy by his management to speed up the NRL side of things.... which i can't possibly see how it could be.

He's off to France and we won't see him in 17.

The best thing for Ben is to not be a globe trotting code hopping player and stay settled in the familiar
sunny Sutherland Shire with his wife and children and surrounded by his friends to keep him on track with his life.

Sure the next 4 months will be humbling for him but it will also point out to him that this is what type of life he will have if he farks up again.

I do not like his manager Gavin Orr and I cringe every time I hear a player of ours connected with him.

Gavin Orr in my opinion is all about the $ and not always what is best for his client.

No decent manager would think Ben Barba going to France is the best thing for Ben Barba.

It's all about Gavin Orr trying to look clever and seal another deal.

Extra money however is not what Ben Barba needs right now.

This is brilliant. We have beaten the NRL every step of the way on this.
Sonny Bill Williams had his contract registered 18 months prior to returning to league.
