The issue I have with this is that he'll be coaching players he used to play with. IE Cooper (if he doesn't retire), Creagh and Morris. Being a Captain is one thing, but being a coach sometimes needs that separation from the playing group in my opinion

It won't happen.
Choc will chime in and chuck a tanty because he should be coach, and Barrett will have to settle for being the assistant. Part way through his tenure Choc will announce he is going to coach another club the next year, along with a celebratory cake cutting. Then he'll leave, come back, then leave part way through the next period of tenure unannounced to help some deadbeat mate overseas somewhere.

Don't ask me how I know this, I just have certain skills.
