Enjoying Symonds' commentary, honest, no BS. Refreshing.

Quiney looks like a biker who cooks Meth and plays cricket on the side these days.... Quiney Niney got dis!

But wtf was that comment from Howie post match...after Punter had talked about his vicky kicky game...and Howie talks up Punter, statesman, charity blah blah and sounds like he has a dig at Symonds.
I personally find Howie is nauseating.

He's a little Victorian androtop who sounds like he belongs on local fm radio. Unfunny, fake, likes the sound of his own voice and of course can't wait to bring bananaball into any conversation. When he and flemwad are on it's an express train to mute central.

that Andy Maher wanks on about flogball too

10 commentary sucks

Although Ch10's first involvement with televising cricket was simulcasting PSN's (Premier Sports Network) coverage the 1995 Australian tour of the West Indies, Ch10's first involvement with being directly in charge of the telecast of a cricket tournament was the XXXX Beach Cricket series during 2007-09 (does anyone remember it?). It was very popular in the first season, largely off the back of it being held during an Ashes tour of Australia and a lot of the old fogeys like Dickie Bird participated in it. A dispute with the alcohol sponsorship (as Cricket Australia had a commercial agreement with VB, and beach cricket was sponsored by XXXX) led to the demise of the tournament.

I barely remember much of the 1995 tour, however I do remember Ch10's coverage of the Beach Cricket series and will say that although it was just fun and games and the ex-players weren't taking it seriously, the telecast and commentary was very amateur. IIRC, Andy Maher and Howie were both commentators in that series

I remember the beach cricket circa 07-09

From memory did they play 3 games in a day? In any case was just a bit of fun and comedy in the main

Not a Victorian to be seen in the box. Thank f**k. Even when they did mention VFL during their cross promotion of that stupid show it fell flat when McCullum said it's a non event in NZ.
