Young Henry's "Newtowner"

This is Kent Old Brown on Paul Gallen's peptides. Darkish yet easy drinking. Bitter but not overpowering. Caramel flavours but not sweet. This is genuinely very good draught beer.

St Peters Brewing Blonde.

I am a self professed wheat beer hater (check the thread). This however is something very different. Gone are the banana fruit summer island flavours. This is more banana bread with a big heap of cinnamon. For a regular draught beer, this is outstanding.

lol. The fact you posted those so close to each other identifies why you're a little tipsy.

I'm sure David Becker would indulge in one if he was in Chile.....but yes amigo, the brewery and brand name is Becker!

Eclectic selection this evening. Stubby of 4 Pines Pale Ale, bottle of their Keller Door IPA, bottle of Franziskaner Dunkel and Hefe and a Little Creatures Puffing Billy...

Burleigh Brewing FIGJAM IPA. Actually quite disappointed by this. I'm a big fan of Brendan and Peta at Burleigh, but this is a miss for me. The bitterness is akin to licking a band-aid as opposed to a quality hop bitterness. Tastes quite cheap, not an $12 a longneck beer.

Stick with their Black Giraffe coffee dark beer. That is a very good drink with buckets of flavour.

Tried the 2013 Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere release the yestrerday.

Didnt like it as much as last years from memory, not as hoppy, still a nice drop though.

Hop Hog is just about my favourite beer at the moment, absolute belter IMO. Interested in what you'd rate above it so I can give it a go!

Maybe its just my palete but after drinking IPA from the US I find ours a bit meek & mild.

Did like the hop-hog though.

Sierra Nevada Bigfoot ale, great drop. Not for the faint of heart though. Got it the local bottle shop in altona a month or so ago. Only a small outlet but impressive range of beers.

Hawthorn Premium Pale Ale tonight. Decent, nothing special. For the same price I'd greatly prefer 28 Pale from Burleigh.

Don't know how I got through my first 21 years without ever drinking an ale. Magnificent things they are.

I had a Dogfish beer last night that was 11%. Can't remember the name of it though. It screwed me!! I stopped drinking it because it was too much and then forgot that I thought that, and bought another one.... LOL I'm not very bright
