Dr Tims isn't available in ACT (or outside SA AFAIK) so I wouldn't know tbh....I've just never had a beer in a can that tasted any different from any other canned beer. Even Asahi and Sapporo in cans just tastes generic IMO

The wonders of formerly ploughing a SA native! My ex put me onto it, it's a can conditioned ale, and it's ace. I know in the US there are a few craft beers in cans, but not in Oz as yet.

We've just got a new cider in at work, NSW/ACT only I think, called Howler, made from the orchard in Darkes Forrest. It's really, really good as far as cider goes. A bit less sweet and without that awful cider aftertaste. Would recomend

tucking into a bottle fermented NZ beer that is the size of a magnum of champagne (1500ml).

moa methode.

quite nice, but a fairly 'thick' drink for a pilsener..

not me in this pic, but found this online and thought this was a pretty good photo to demonstrate the size of the bottle..

Tried a few 'new' beers in the last week or so.

Le Choufe is becoming a favourite. They have it on tap 2 for 1 at the local Belgian beer bar for just $6.

Also enjoying the Rogue American Ale quite a bit. It's pricey in China though. Had the Trappist last night. The 11% one. Not a bad drop. I blame it for my trying to kiss a fat China.

One I won't be drinking again? Bush (also from Belgium). 12% and tastes like somebody poured rubbing alcohol into a Budweiser.
