Did any of you head to Wollongong for the Froth and Bubbles Beer and Cider Festival on the weekend? It was a great event.

I had a Great Dane tri-pepper pilsner in Wisconsin last month. As the name Implies it has three types of pepper. Took me about 40 minutes to drink it as I'm not usually the type to put pepper on my food let alonr my beer.

also drank Stone of Scone Scotch Ale by the pint for $4 US during happy hour at the Great Dane. Epic.

While I was away I pratically fuelled myself on a nice mix of PBR, rolling rock and lone star.

Miller Lite was my beer of choice over there when I couldnt get any Sam Adams

I drank mainly Stella Artios in the UK, I remember being amazed how cheap it was compared to Australia. Mind you this was 11 years ago, when a case of Stella here was $70 at its cheapest.

Pffft. Saigon lager. 75 cents a can at local bar. Schooner ish sizes of beer at the bia hoi run $1-2. I enjoy Vietnam

Place around the corner from me here in Kogarah does it for $37. It's hard to believe that when I first started in liquor, the standard prices for "imported" beers were so high. If you saw Corona for less than $70 you would buy up...

It was the same for Stella. Heineken and Becks you could get for around $60.

I could understand an argument for becks if it truly was imported.

Nope, domestic (except Corona, always an import). You could get the full import back then, but it was really difficult to find. When the dollar went up, the local brewers looked stupid when they were $20+ a case out of the ballpark.
