I was driving through st peters/rockdale etc considering a pub to stop for dinner last night, on the highway. Any of them any good?

Rocksia is actually the best choice. Not bad either, part of the Feros Group. They genuinely give a shit about what they plate up.

Otherwise, you'reonly other real option is the Southern Cross Hotel in St Peters (Oscars Group). The other pubs + clubs on the road (Banksia Hotel, Grand Hotel, St George Hotel, St George Leagues) land somewhere between dire and pathetic.

Onto Becks now. It's less than $40 a carton, shut up McCain pays shit money and it's all I can afford!

Coopers Extra Stout, is there another high volume produced stout anywhere near their consistency + quality?

cascade stout is pretty damn good..

Personally, I think Tokyo black from Yo Ho is even better. A porter with loads of flavour.

Making the best of a bad (beer) situation, I'm alternating between Windhoek (where available) and Ndovu (everywhere else).

The biggest compliment I can give Ndovu is that it is better than the other beers in East Africa and that it goes down easy.
