I don't rate Edwards that is all and I would see Alex Johnston as an upgrade. Also benefit would be if a top shelf fullback come available you coukd punt him to the wing. Edward's is a fullback or nothing and we'll an average one currently.
Eels barring injuries will be very successful. Good halves and powerfull wingers. Big mobile forwards.
RCG concerns me. Heard he looked disinterested in trial. Time will tell buys its a good squad. I just do not rate the coach BA.... I would prefer Ivan.

Don't take this as an attack it's not just stating the facts. You are dead wrong about Edwards and clearly lack the necessary information to make a judgement, for example Edwards has played wing and been very good there.

Gunderson won't ever play for NSW or Australia. Neither will Edwards but you are massively understating Edwards. His ball running and support play is far better than Gutherson.

Guth isn't elite he is very good. Bar Ponga,Teddy,Turbo and Rts who is an elite fullback? There all demanding over 1mil while Clint asked for 700k and Parra held firm on low 600s. I guess they also don't see him as elite.
Edwards most likely is on small money and worth it. His rookie season was excellent but he plateued or went backwards. I understand injuries have hampered him. Let's hope he stays fit because at this stage letting DWZ go was a huge mistake. He is on par with Gutherson level.

Sorry don't agree. Edwards is a very good fullback not the Teddy kind of elite but very good.

I don't know about what kind of money he is on. I would say mid range for a fullback. Yep I rate him better then Gutherson. Good speed. Good support play. Does OK.

That is RCG now. Just doesn’t get interested.
You guys lack depth in most positions and you are right I find BA the worst coach in the game

Yes he was leading the comp in those stats until injury in 2018. 2019 he was coming off a serious shoulder injury and didn't find form until the end of the year.

Fair enough. In tackle breaks yes. Gutherson is the best ball playing fullback in competition. That's his strength. 13 TAs and 16 Lbas in 2019. Show me better stats.His kicking games is also in the top 2 or 3 for fullbacks.
But what he brings is energy and team spirit. His speed is average and he isn't making these 70mtr linebreaks often. He lacks explosivness. But he is vocal and wants to win.

Agree. Why Eels could be top 4 or a disaster of a season. BA put together a great squad but he lack tactics.
As far as depth goes, unless your the Roosters or Brisbane your best chances are a strong top 13 core and some good bench players and hope your make finals with a fit squad. Spend to much of the cap on depth and you will end up with a side finishing around 7th -10th every year without any serious threat.

I hope Panthers fire. And for the record JFH is my fave player. Also Hethrington. I'd love him to come good.

The key is to not buy too many guys and keep space for extensions

No-one really knows what was wrong, but he was a complete mess last year at our club. Maybe it was just that he wanted to play FB but if that's the case letting him go was a good move. You can't have players running the team and tanking when they don't get their way. There seems to be a fair bit of it in recent times. Blake wasn't much better.

Blake can be the beat centre in game. He has all the tools. My issue is he seems to lack desire and injury prone. Shake this and he would be as good as any
