Marcus... you surprise me.. I would never play with words. I just wanted to know how you came to the conclusion that RL fans don't give a hoot about their game...I don't see any ambiguity there.

That is merely an extension of the line of debate we were already on, just as ZP2 is an extension of ZP1. The point being, that on a week to week basis there is still some difference. Changing the plot would have been if I'd compared the merits of the opposing cheerleaders.

BTW, our cheerleaders win hands down.

Willow, I already gave some examples of why league fans don't give a hoot about league internationals. The examples that I used had the Kangaroos in it which is quite kind of me too do - if you want I can find out the attendances for internationals in Wales, France, Scotland, England and the Irish? I don't think you would really want to see them.

GavBT, your cheerleaders better than ours? Maybe, but I have to see a picture first.

Do you have a problem with the english language Mucous?

I asked for overall attendance as opposed to averages.

League attendance was down by roughly 300k in '01 with 7 less games which really doesn't figure that badly.Certainly not as bad as your maths makes it out.

ED, they still are bad figures. Using you figures avg. attendances at NRL games has dropped by 7.8%. Games outside of Sydney has seen an 11% decline. Not bad eh?

Marcus. I like Rugby but I have to say I'm concerned about the figures regarding club Rugby in Sydney. Apparently its down across the board. All grounds have been recording declines over recent years.

Willow, did you know that club rugby is AMATEUR? You are comparing a professional one (NRL) with an amateur (club rugby). I think I have had this argument before, so there is no need to repeat what has already been repeated.

There's a good reason club rugby is piss poor compared to club league.

No bastard would pay enough money through gates/tv rights/sponsorship plus all other forms of revenue.
